These two have been friends for years. They do a wonderful version of When the War is Over. Jimmy was the lead singer of Cold Chisel. The guy on guitar and singing is Diesel, Jimmy's brother in law. He also has a solo career.

The John Farnham song that America needs to hear at the moment is "In Days to Come" - and this is probably one of the rare cases that I would say to watch the video clip instead of live, because it has a segment that has Martin Luther King in it, that as an American, you would appreciate seeing

Love these first time reactions. They conjour up my own disbelieving awareness. That's a third Aussie (pron Ozzie) legend on stage there, diesel the guitarist. He is Jimmy Barnes brother in law. This song is a cover of the old Sam and Dave original (of Hold on Im coming S&D)

I too prefer the 'Hey Hey It's Saturday' version. Much better sound quality on my device. Also, by then they had really integrated Diesel into their live performances of this song. Another great Aussie singer: Guy Sebastian. And Paul Kelly, a great poet as well.

Normally these two mean acknowledge that their voices are extremely powerful and are very mindful and respectful of not overpowering those other artists that they are performing with. But when these two sing together they actually cut loose and just let it all rip out at max volume.

These two are Rock / Music Royalty in Australia. And the guy on guitar is Deisel. Also an Rock music icon. Another Aussie icon that noone has mentioned yet is Paul Kelly. Most Aussies Rate Jimmys Band Cold Chisel above the likes of INXS or ACDC. The fact that they are well known outside Australia is why we don't was excited about them. We love to promote our musos who prefered to stay in Australia. And we prefer Delta Goddrem, Tina Arena, Vanessa Amerosi over Kylie Minogue. Another newer favourite band in Aus is the Tesky Brother soul/blue Rock band.

I hadn't seen this particular live performance of this song before, and it was interesting how they gave a separate mike to the guitarist, Diesel in this one. I think I preferred the "Hey Hey It's Saturday" live performance better, mainly because he is singing closer with the others, and they do a great a cappella outro on that one. This one is still good and better than the studio video release which a lot of other reviewers use. The song and the singers still blow everyone away no matter what.

Every song with either Jimmy or John is ALWAYS better live ! They are great in a recorded video, but have so much more with the audience energy and they play with their audiences. I don't want to distract you from your Farnsey discovery tour, however if you want to start discovering Jimmy Barnes (another Aussie legend) I would recommend "Stone Cold" recorded with the great American guitarist Joe Bonamassa (kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6q7d3uoas-soqs). This is a more contemporary Barnes and is a remake of his own 1993 song. Keep up the great work.

Apart from a short period when Jimmy only wanted to scream at full volume, this particular video is the worst I have ever seen him perform..... and I have heard him admit that and apologise, too. Jimmy is still performing as a mature ( olde) man and is sometimes better than ever. Try Stone Cold live in the studio with Joe Bonamassa on guitar.
