G’day Mike. Thank you for your honest reaction to this film clip. It was very moving to watch both your reaction and the clip from the best Olympics ever!! They weren’t called the friendliest games for nothing. I remember watching this live at the time. It is really hard to watch both John and Olivia at the top of their careers, but what a song and the atmosphere must have been electric. Oh I kept talking to you to look up so you could see her beautiful face in those moments.... but realised I was crying too. ((hugs)) Mikey. Those vocals were brilliant. Two genuinely beautiful humans. I must mention another Aussie artist who sang 'Hero's Live Forever' (very apt for John & Livey) Vanessa Amorosi was only 19 and I still don't know how she managed those ultra high notes and her breath control is on another level. @JenniferNicholls-tf5yg 0 seconds ago He is a truly amazing man. I used to work in a hotel and unexpectantly John had to spend the night with us. He rang down to find out where he could iron a shirt. After talking for a few moments I told him that one of our receptionists was going to be devastated to have missed him as she ADORED him and that she would have happily iron every piece of clothing he owned. He asked me if I could call her for him. I called and got her Dad and told him that when I told her who was calling she would think I was joking so he had to reassure her it was true. When she came on the line I said her name and told her that I wanted to introduce her to her caller John Farnham, and before I went off line, I heard him say to her "So ........ I hear you take in ironing" HE TALKED WITH HER FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES. WHAT A GENTLEMAN AND STAR HE IS!!!!!!
