Saw John at Bondi Junction shopping centre in about 1977/78. Close enough to touch. He's not a big man but the energy, passion and pure delight he emits when performing is incredible. Never forgot it! Love this song!!

his concert was the first one I ever watched on tape, I was too young to go to his concert, being 4 years old at the time, but I remember watching it to such an extent that I ruined the tape.

That's exactly what I did! It got to the point that mum confiscated the tape. I was somewhere around 2-4 at the time, like you. I'm 26 now, 20 when I uploaded the video.

Same age mate, parents would have likely been watching and recording it off of Prime/Channel 7 while nursing me, would have been almost 6 months old at the time. Watched the shit out of it during my young years. Still have the functioning copy 26 years later. Good old VHS. Mind you we lived at Eagle Vale (Campbelltown, NSW) then and we had a rabbit ear antenna but mostly picked up Wollongong stations so it was recorded from Prime. Halfway through the concert whoever was manning the Pause button must have fallen asleep because all the adds started getting recorded as well haha. Love watching it on the VHS every now and then.
