OMG!!! IN 1987, I WAS BORN, SEPTEMBER 16 TH... TO BE EXACTLY ... 😭😭😭but 18 year ago, I discovered this FANTASTIC MAN, ON THE RADIO with THE incredible song "YOU ARE THE VOICE", I was 16, I listen it until this days, with 34 years old. Diggin' on your prof pic! What a GREAT rendition of 'AMAZING GRACE'!! but...I'm sure you are like me...Johnny Farnham could "SING THE PHONE BOOK" and it would sound good. I'm from San Diego (originally via Phoenix,Az) and I used to run into Wayne Nelson. Great humble American musician and ONLY American at that time. (Mid-'80's) Shelter Island Concert Series was badass. I was leaning on the stage,rockin' out with 'LRB' !? I am a drummer/singer...B.U. vocals mostly,but growing up a 'LITTLE RIVER BAND" fan...I put it out there. GODS TRUTH...after last encore,John reached down to shake my hand. He got right in my face and yelled "BLOODY GOOD,MATE!!" totally a Heterosexual... I got a major man crush. Still do,because us old folks gotta keep on ROCKIN'...AND good to see THE LEGEND is still going. Peace... Dave G.

This was at his peak and to be honest there were few to none that could come close to banging out a rock song as good as this. Even now in his 60's he can still hit notes that most younger rock stars could only dream of. Never understood why he didn't take on the US. Probably because he had all he needed back there in Australia. Actually, he was born in Dagenham, England. Mute point. He's Australian and they should be proud to have him as one of theirs. Ridiculous vocalist. What would I give to have a voice like that.
