This video, and all of the reaction videos on this channel, transform the original material from entertainment into education. The original content that is “reacted” to is analyzed by a musician who is now disabled and uses the performance to highlight technique and further discuss all aspects of the music-making process. In addition, musical theory and style choices are also often analyzed and discussed.
While the video does use the entire song (as things such as vocal endurance and song structure must also be considered), there are many pauses. In addition, often the original content is examined to further explain the musical process. During pauses, the reactor goes into detail on how sounds are produced, why or why not they are good, or if they are particularly difficult to make or play.
The pauses often last a long time, so much so that this video cannot be considered a replacement for the original material. A link to the original video is always placed in the About section, and viewers are encouraged to watch it without pauses and commentary.
Please do note the total time of this video compared to how long the original song is. That should give you an impression of the lengthy commentary provided.
If you wish for further proof of the educational purpose of this channel, please look at my other videos on vocal techniques, and singer health

John sings everything with perfection, he is really an incredible artist. I think the best version of this song is when John performed at the Melbourne carols by candlelight in the mid 90’s with his 3 regular backing vocals. He sang “Mary’s boy child and you’ll never walk alone. Although this version is awesome I think the carols version was the best.

Definately happy to re watch anything with John singing. Afterall we do that everyday watching reactions to the same songs over and over with different reactors. Can never get enough of our Farnsey. And every performance John does of his songs is a little different from the one before. Just make sure you let people that you've reacted to the song before otherwise the keyboard warriors will might get antsy with you....Oh and we love that you are so reactive and interactive with your followers. Not too many reactors take the time to respond to every single comment. You guys are awesome for that and also for you obvious love of our guy. ❤❤ Ps I've heard John and Vanessa sing together at the Vines Concert in Perth 2019. There nothing on video though. Wow! I've never heard John perform this iconic anthem. A bit of background, it was written by Rodgers and Hammerstein for the 1945 musical Carousel, and the original is operatic in style, befitting the times and the stunning soprano vocals of Shirley Jones. This song is now timeless, and has a fame which transcends the original. It was covered by numerous artists, but enjoyed a renaissance when reimagined by Liverpool pop group Jerry and the Pacemakers in 1963. It was adopted by Liverpool FC soon after, and the song took on a deeper meaning after the catastrophic fire at the Hillsborough stadium in 1989. It is now a beloved staple of artists worldwide and is also sung by football fans around the world. This is a deceptively difficult song to sing because of its range, but John of course makes it look effortless, managing both the low notes and the high with ease. This is the first time I've heard it with the blues arrangement, so I don't know whether the arrangement was someone else's, or John's. It doesn't matter - I love it regardless. Fantastic reaction guys, this was a real treat. And you will get back to Chain Reaction when the time is right ❤ I'll drop the original Rodgers and Hammerstein version in Reply in case the utube gods disapprove and block my comment. Knowing the story, it still makes me cry, but the story isn't necessary to appreciate the beauty of the song.

Danny, we come to listen to you two, we’ve seen the videos so the quality isn’t an issue. But we do love to listen to you two, so by all means do them again. We’d enjoy it. We have a very famous poem that sums up Australia called My Country, and it has the lines: 'I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains, Of ragged mountain ranges, of drought and flooding rains. I love her far horizons, I love her jewel-sea, Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me!' I was a teen girl when John was at his prime. Thanks for this video guys - I hadn't seen John's rendition of this well known tune. Great as always. By the way, Jimmy Barnes and his son David Campbell also did a live version of this song for the Xmas Carols by Candlelight show, which is also well worth checking out. As far as covers go, I would highly recommend that Kasey Chambers live cover of "Lose Yourself". Like John's version of "Help", you'll never think about the original song in the same way again. Kasey has a great voice reminiscent of a blend of Melanie Safka and Janis Joplin, and her cover takes the rap song to a whole another level. After watching that, you'll probably want to see more by her and I would recommend "Ain't No Little Girl" which she wrote. She has a live version which is good but the official video is pretty good too.

Sorry, this is totally on me. What I mean, I'm talking about on my end, my equipment, what we have been using to edit the videos was very poor quality, not the videos themselves. I'm so sorry for the confusion. although this video I was told wasn't the greatest of quality when it was uploaded. So you say you can have four different videos of the same song uploaded from four different people with four different software, and it'd be different qualities, even though it's the same performance. It's a little confusing. but I did not mean at all any of your suggestions being poor quality. It was totally miscommunication on my part. Alright. I've done a lot of John Farnham reactions there. I don't remember on top of my head what I said in this video. but I won't tell you what I think about that question. There are many singers who are good at different things. My top 100 list are all great, But all in different ways some saying dark music, which makes me feel good in a certain way. Something sad music makes me feel good Some saying heavy music, some soft. Yes, John is amazing, The fact that I have done like over 60 John Farnham reactions should say. that yeah, the man's great. I don't do the whole judging, especially not putting one person above all the rest. I just don't do that. And it's subjective too. Some people think Prince was the greatest thing in the world. I do not. Some people love Angelina Jordan think she's just the best thing since sliced bread. I think she's overrated. But my favorite voice was Australian singer. Maybe any singer is Vanessa Amorosi

This is the answer to your question. en.wikipedia.org › wiki › 2000s_Australian_drought 2000s Australian drought - Wikipedia Beginning in the second half of 1991, a very severe drought occurred throughout Queensland which intensified in 1994 and 1995 to become the worst on record. Queenslander here, and I'm guessing you are too. I remember it so well - waking up in dread to another "perfect" day - there really is such a thing as too much sunshine. I took advantage of all the subsidies offered by the Qld Govt - rainwater tank, dual flush toilets, low flow shower heads, things that we now take for granted. I remember the school slogan governing toilet etiquette: "If it's yellow let it mellow: if it's brown flush it down".
