In the description notes it says Field influenced Chopin, Brahms, Schumann and Liszt, and what a group to be an influence on. Can’t think of a better recommendation, but then ask, John who? Such a shame, beautiful composition, but sadly, very little of his music is heard these days. Thanks again to the LMP and Matthias Bamert for bringing these gems to our attention.

Thanks a lot for the comment and for appreciating Field's music. Field's music had good recordings, at least three pianists recorded all his piano concertos and many others recorded his nocturnes. It is true that his name is not very well known to the public, but let's not forget that there are people who still believe that if a composer's name is unfamiliar to them it means that his music is not good, so they do not buy these albums and they don't listen to this music. Thank you again!

The 2nd movement tempo is Adagio non troppo.
