I was 13/14 when first seeing Creedence twice (one of the few bands with enough hits they didn't stretch their two hits into unrecognizable 15 minute jams - just like ZZ Top, who I'd also seen), and after a decent career in music, I was lucky enough to have gotten a half hour guitar lesson from Billy at lunch, who was doing voice-over work on the Power Rangers, where I was art directing. What a great guy, humble, funny and a real pro. He played every instrument on the album. We had 2 other rooms with major acts recording in the other studios but he was the attration and would sit in the large kitchen with every one sitting listening to great stories about the CCR days with great story telling skill. Great time, and one of the few industry people who every loved, no one had a bad word to say about him.
