@@robertobeco1302 Absolutely... But I reckon every generation pretty much says the same thing. And their right. As the world continues to get worse every year, each generation looks back on their time, on their memories of youth and recall how much better things were back when.. For those of us for example who were kids in the sixties and early seventies, we remember the great TV shows, all the incredible toys. Halloween and Christmas were amazing and wonderful times. But our parents remember the Cuban missile crisis, the assassination of JFK, MLK, the Vietnam War, the Draft, and all those boys who never came home... So I reckon it's how we perceive things. Immediately it happened to me and this music has not let go of me ever since. In 2011 I drove an old bike and a trailer over 7000 km from Vancouver to Alaska and back again. I wanted to find peace with my late father and dedicated this tour to him. What do you think, John Fogerty, what kind of music was I going through my senses on the endless highways ?! Yes sir; Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Someday Never Comes, Lodi and many more of your songs have been a constant companion on my tour to Alaska. When I was driving over the Stewart Cassiar Highway at night because I really wanted to reach the Kinaskan Lake campground, a big grizzly bear suddenly lay 10 meters next to me in the grass and looked after me with interest ... at that moment I was mine Heart slipped in the pants. You can imagine that! I just looked ahead to get ahead and when I finally reached the lake on this full moon night your song came to my mind; long as i can see the light. Please excuse my limited knowledge of english. John Fogerty, I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and best regards from Germany! Klaus Lüttgen rocktheroads.de

When I was a kid (about a thousand years ago) I had a 45rpm with Fortunate Son that I played so often, my brother broke it. I’ve been a fan of yours since 10 years old.

When I first heard bad moon rising in American werewolf in London the song blew me away. Then my uncle let me borrow a ccr tape. Ccr has been my favorite band ever since. John is a living legend.

I saw CCR with the Sir Douglas Quintet, in about 1969 (?) at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, and it was GREAT. I wore a Nero collared waiter jacket that we bought from the Queen Mary when it ported in Long Beach, and thought I was to cool to be true. There with my parents, who took me, lol. Had some very hip parents, who got into the SoCal music of the times. Was blessed to have seen many bands live during that period (1965-1969), will never forget it. Thanks, Mom and Dad!!!

Well I don't know about "unplanned". The great John Fogerty is invited on O'Brien's show, and do you think he's gonna get out of their with out doing a tune? Highly unlikely!

So glad my wife and I had the privilege of attending one of John’s concerts. For two hours he put on a fantastic show. What energy, what talent, what memories! Amazing variety of music. Absolutely one of the greatest entertainers ever. We love you, John!

@anthonymcardle19855 жыл бұрын
How does this make Conan a genius???
@rickiovine21705 жыл бұрын
Anthony McArdle : He has the ability to know how to present his guests in a manner that makes them more human, and, in doing so, more entertaining. It is customary to have a musical guest step back onto center stage to perform with their band. But, Conan simply handed JC a guitar and asked him to perform as if he were a guest in any of our living rooms. Maybe you are taken aback by the “genius” label. That is understandable. But, genius is not just Einstein or Tesla or Newton. And, it can be ephemeral; just a single act. If you prefer saying that Conan was “great”, or, “just ok” then so be it. I am sure that Conan would get a kick out of this conversation!

Would you say James Corden is genius per chance?
@anthonymcardle19855 жыл бұрын
It was totally contrived...why is there a random guitar behind a sofa on the STAGE? Because it was scripted that way and John Fogerty was asked and paid to sing and play...you can pretty much see Conan is acting on every show, he has to hit time target's, even his "laughs" are timed per show. There is no genius or spontaneity to it ever...he just manages time well in an agreeable fashion like the other fakers

Vietnam was the worst war ever. I lost a lot of friends, even though those friends came back, they were never really a part of life anymore, but ccr made it a little better. At least when ccr played and we sang along it felt like old times just for those brief moments. To all the vets, from every war, thank you for your service.

I saw an interview with him. He had some demons and addictions that had taken over his life for a long time . He met a woman that helped him change that. She got him to quit drinking and living in the past. He had a public tv special a few years ago. I sat down to watch a few minutes and before I realized it I had watched the entire two hour show. Every minute was entertaining. A true American legend and Rock n Roll royalty.
