A religious experience yes. All prophets, like John, and shamans, and those like them go through their own "psychosis" and if matured and guided properly, they come out an altered and profound image.

Haha, nice one, you genuinely got a laugh out of me. But there is definitely overlap with these two artists. For one, they are both visionaries and are extremely intelligent. However, I think that Terrence has the added ability to influence others with his charisma and ability to speak, and with that, there is an added temptation to use his gifts to manipulate others. It doesn't seem, at least from listening to the Rogan interview, that Terrance has fully dealt with that aspect of himself. There is an air of honesty and introspection from Frusciante that I don't see from Terrance. Thanks for the comment :)
