John Galliano will always be my favorite designer. Galliano and McQueen. There are no others. I'm very sorry for Galliano. To lose a top, top spot in fashion must've been devastating. I'm not condoning his behavior in any way, I just feel that addiction drove what happened. It was not his fault. He's been humbled by this experience. I wish him all the best and want him to continue dazzling us with his brilliance. All the best to you Mr. Galliano. As for McQueen, I'm so heartbroken he's gone. Ever since his death and Galliano's epic fall from grace, fashion has never been the same. Sad. So sad.

The whole "lifestyle" and "medical issues" tangent hits different after the McQueen documentary. Galliano wasn't having any of it and Rose pivots into "you're only as good as your last collection".

Designing is also a business as well as an art. Without corporate backing or marketing, designers would have to close their doors. As for "mountains of money" name me one designer who wouldn't like to be rich or to live comfortably while doing what he/she loves?

Look John is a genius, of which there are few in the fashion world and currently NONE in the United States. Marc Jacobs is a drugged up mess and people seems fine with that. So what if he made some off color comments; we all do and we all know it. he was drunk. There are many people that are addicts to fashion and want and need John Galiano. I want to see him be supported for what he does best, design. Jewish people need to take a step back and go beyond the past. It's getting tedious

It’s a tragedy how he’s been treated. It’s a miracle he hasn’t killed himself. To lose your own brand your job all your show opportunities to be blacklisted and prevented from giving the world immense beauty is a travesty. He’s one of the most talented designers to have ever lived and we’ve stopped him being able to create in his own name to have his own label it’s so so so wrong. He was on so much Valium he wasn’t aware what he was saying it’s like holding a really drink person accountable for the most drink they’ve ever been ever word they said it’s wrong he was goaded into saying whst he said and he did nothing he SAID or slurred some words and we destroy his whole life? If he’d killed someone he wouldn’t have been treated like that. Houses should be BEGGInG him to produce his own collections under their roof in his own time whilst supporting him and accepting a mini collection of their brand from him as the “reason” he’s there. I’m still disgusted no one stood up for him and took him into their atelier and said “do Galliano “ . Imagine the clothes he’d have made? Have we learned anything from McQueen death yet?
