I just KNEW there was someone in the world who must be as obsessed as I am with Galliano, and there you are! So great that you followed your passion. I'm sure it wasn't easy and sometimes it's the thrill of the hunt but as you said, in person with the garment was better than you ever thought. I love that you have them and care for them the way you do. I also think a traveling exhibition of your collection would be awesome. A minimal charge (to underwrite that sort of thing, including travel and insurance) but you still would come away with quite a bit of money and the best part ... still having your collection! Absolutely magnificent. I love these videos about collectors and their collections. I do find it interesting, and I’d love to know the collectors thoughts on being in love with a designer & artist that has become so controversial (to say the least.) But, like many have said & commented, Galliano is more than a designer, he’s an artist. His impact on fashion is insurmountable. Like other comments, including one of the top comments at this time, please do a documentary on this collector and his collection! I’d love to see as many of the pieces as possible, as well as his thoughts and everything else. Also would love to know if he has the famed newspaper print dress SJP/Carrie Bradshaw wore in SATC & one of the movies too. We saw this collector had a jacket with the same newspaper print, but I’d love to know if he had one of the dress designs that was shown in the show/movie. When SATC was first airing as a show, Dior was one of Carrie’s most worn designers, especially in terms of accessories. Especially the “saddle bag.” I’d also love to know his take on the show and their use of Dior/Galliano designs. Thank you Vogue for this amazing video! Would absolutely love and adore more like this one.
