Even more so- Gotti just has a very particular look about him. If an actor doesn’t have the looks down, doesn’t matter if he can pull off his personality really, which is hard in its own right. And not many ppl on earth look or can carry themselves like John.

Would be interesting to hear something about John's brother's Gene & Peter. I know Gene did a lot of time on the heroin case, even though the mob isn't involved in drugs, lol, but what else was he involved in, and what did Peter ever do to rise the ranks to boss?
@jesseknorr8594 Жыл бұрын
Peter Gotti was a ex sanitation worker and a total moron. The guy had no buisness at all being the boss. He shouldn't have even been a made guy but of course Gotti made him boss when he was locked up. Gene was the real deal he was way more of a boss than John was
@HamiltonRb Жыл бұрын

Ya know.... I used to think Sammy Gravano was probably the 'bigger' (however ya define 'bigger') gangster between himself & Michael Franzese... But Franzese was actually a capo a good deal before Gravano. And a helluva good earning capo, too! I actually happen to believe Franzese's story abt being offered a position as capo from Chin. (But I also believe that such a particular offer may've been a loyalty test that Persico asked Gigante to conduct for him! We'll never know.) Matter of fact, Sammy was still a soldier all the way up to the Castellano clip! And even then, I doubt Gotti would've promoted him had it not been for Frankie DeCicco wanting Gravano to be upped. But why Gotti chose him as his underboss, after Frankie Cheech's death, even if it was a concession to the former 'Castellano'/aka Brooklyn faction of the borgata... I'll certainly never know!
@jimbeam-ru1my Жыл бұрын
neil should have declared himself the boss. making paul the boss caused a schism that didn't end until paul was finally clipped. The boss is the boss but when the boss is dead he isn't the boss anymore. John probably would have still become the boss but he wouldn't have had to clip paul to do it.
@josephmartinez8803 Жыл бұрын
A.R. is correct about Travolta, aka Vinnie Babareno. About Gotti being on the cover of Time magazine, Al Capone beat him to that by a few decades. There was also Tony Salami, of the Pepperoni family, and Eddie Spaghetti of the Pizzeria family. 😂👍

Why does Wade keep referencing the Travolta “Gotti” movie? That movie was unwatchable and scored a whopping 0% on rotten tomatoes. That means not one reviewer liked it.
@crimenentertainment Жыл бұрын
Good or bad, the point of the show is to reference real-life guys to the movies. If you watch that later Gotti expecting better than the 96 Gotti, yes, you will be greatly disappointed. Watching it purely of the standpoint of facts that are missing or changed is what I think is the draw. Definitely not Entertainment. Although I thought Stacey Keech did decent as O'Neil. Hard to beat Quinn tho.
@joeberraco5883 Жыл бұрын
@@crimenentertainment Yeah but there is a difference between referencing a movie like"Goodfellas" and "Gotti". Gotti was unwatchable. It was terrible. It scored a 0.00% on Rotten Tomatoes.
