Wow! Wish we'd get TV concerts like this in the states! What a treat to hear Sonny, Dave and Kenny playing 23 years ago. They've all gotten better with age! Hope Sonny lives to 150! Hyatt is the Jesus of late 80's cool.

Have loved John Hiatt for around 20 years. Such a treat to discover these videos! Saw him once live solo, with Crosby Stills and Nash.

As great as this is, and as much as I love Sonny, best version I've heard was from the Perfectly Good Guitar Tour, with Mike Ward on lead and slide. I saw them 4 times that year, including one show that went out on local FM and was recorded for me by a friend. Ive still got tge tape, and Wards's playing on Thank You Girl was awe-inspiring, totally over the top yet completely under control. Makes me hyperventilate just thinking about it!
