He has got tremendous bottle to score a huge break to carry him through to the quarter final. Mark allen will never win the world snooker title reason being he is not good enough. John higgins is the only player left to stop the rocket win world title 8. Judd trump and ronnie 0sullivan are the form players this season but john higgins could play really well to achieve his goal of a 5th world snooker title.

A couple of years ago, Higgins won a tournament without losing all but a few frames and playing almost perfect snooker! Ronnie O'Sullivan was heaping praise on Higgins at the same level as Alan, Higgins with four world titles is considered by many to be the perfect snooker player to copy! Firstly, his A game is almost unplayable against. He won titles with his B game, and it's only recently that the Higgins C game seems to be more preventing him from getting back to winning ways!

Fair play to Higgins you can tell how much that meant to him. He was spot on about Allen too, when he slows way down and tries to be so careful about every single shot he ruins his own rythm
@yesdcotchin
@yesdcotchin 17 күн бұрын
That might be true, but I think most if not all of the tournaments Allen's won in the last few seasons have involved playing a lot with his more deliberate style, and he's won more and been more consistent than he was when he played more freely. If I remember correctly, he said on Hendry's KZbin channel that he believes that his quick fluent game is there waiting and he hasn't gone out of his way to slow down, but he's still really struggling to adjust to changes in his technique (I want to say sight-right). I think his safety game has become one of the best on tour though, which I never really felt before

Great fighter who took a very risky double and went on to clear the table for a black ball match win. Congratulations to John Higgins and hard luck for Mark Allen who showed a great sportsmanship when acknowledging defeat by a clearance produced at a very critical stage of the match.

What a pleasure to witness. And let me tell ya i meet him once at Minnesota Fats In glasgow, i had a 33% to draw him in the little tournament they held at the place. (i got anthony mcgill i totally won 4-0 and didnt get battered) And honestly both of them is as geniuent as they come. no fus, smiles and a nice time at a local club. The miss after making 62 is why Mark Allen will probably never win the WC. He had the match won but threw it away. Must be one of his all time "I screwed up" moments.

Missing that red, which was hardly an easy one, made harder by the fact he had to play it with the rest, under the pressure of being 12-12 against a four-time Champion of the World in the Crucible Theatre, is hardly throwing away the match. It was as difficult a shot under the circumstances anyone has had to pot so far in the World Championship to win a match. Saying he threw the match away almost soils the Hurculean effort that Higgins put in to clear that table; everything from the double at the start, to the last red to get on the brown, even that final black to win were all magnificent. And don't bring Allen down after his wonderful performance the entire match by saying that he 'screwed up'. Anyone could have missed a ball like that under that pressure, even the greats of the game.

To add to the first reply, Allen's won plenty of tournaments, including the other triple crown events, and John himself said one of Mark's best attributes is his bottle. John is regarded as having arguably the most bottle of any player in history and he's still broken down on breaks in deciding frames of big matches. Ronnie's done it, Hendry's done it, Davis's done it. Name any snooker great, they'll have done the same
