Higgins deserved to win this! He steals the win in the very uncomfortable situation and took the risky, but acquited shots! Well done, John! The Wizard on his own!

What a frame to end the World Championship final And John did it in his own classic fashion, setting snooker and playing double

i remember watching this live... as a fellow scot i was soooo proud of john ..."then" enter the despicable Hazel Irvine.. she prodded n pocked john with the memory of his recently deceased father to the point he broke down in tears.. WELL DONE YA FKN BOOT !!!!

I was so proud also. Im a massive John Higgins fan, he means everything to me. Was such a shame about those 3 recent world finals, he deserved one more And I dont think Hazel meant to upset John, she knew how much he meant to him

I think a lot of people do Hendry a great disservice in the comments below. He was a machine in his prime. 36 ranking tournament wins..played in 9 world finals, winning seven. Ronnie has only played in 4 world finals.

And now Ronnie is a 6 time world champion

Ronnie played 8 WSC finals and won 7, not bad...

In the last few years Higgins has played at a standard where he would give prime Hendry a run for his money. The key for me is that Higgins has become the balls to the wall player Hendry was from the start. He copes with the pressure better than anyone currently playing, which was a key factor in Hendry's success too. Now at the end of his career John is taking the risks, he's going for those shots that a lot of people refuse. Another similarity with Hendry.

Adronias one thing Higgins has done what hendry hasnt is win tournaments in his later years he has just won back to back tournaments in the last few weeks this comment is 3 years old and you may not see it but glad someone respects John Higgins Many dont agree but he is the greatest of all time in my eyes

And while John has never been as skilled a breakbuilder as Hendry, well, what he lacks in breakbuilding, he makes up for in safety. Ultimately I still favour Hendry, mostly on the fact that no player in the history of snooker has won as many frames as Hendry from what you would barely call a quarter chance. You can have the greatest safety ever, but when the other guy is constantly clearing up from your break off, when 1 red leaves the pack, and you've left the white 2 inches off baulk cushion

I would say John is the best at doing what you just said

2006 masters final: J.Higgins doubles a red to pinch the title coming from behind 2010 uk final: J.Higgins doubles the brown to pinch the title coming from behind 2011 world final: J.Higgins doubles the pink to pinch the title coming from behind He certainly likes it dirty from behind

If Dennis Taylor was not commenting on a snooker game, i would seriously have trouble distinguish him saying "brown" or "blonde".

He is not a cheat as this shows you that he is one of the all time greats. He doesn't give up a frame even if he needs snookers and he has made many comebacks as he has proved over the years. His form may have slipped since 2011 and his last ranking title was in 2012 but he is still known as one of the all time greats.

A Scot made from granite with a charater too match , makes me proud to be one,and once again the world championship trophy heads across the border and back on Scots soil for the 12th time in in 21 years, which is not bad, Intresting what Steve Davis had to say at the end of the 32nd frame" The greatest player there's ever been"

srr for noob question: why do they have to continue the play? Judd has enough point to win already (but then he fouled and alll), but my point is that why that they had to play up till then

Try hard as you can.......the golden years have long gone.... Higgins....Taylor......Reardon.....White.... Davis......Thorburn.....Stevens..Drago...Big Bill..... The games just not the same, and never will be.

If judd trump would have won this frame, had he had won the game. Surely John higgins has won more frame so their would have been an another frame,am i right.

At 3:45, there's only 27 remaining but the gap is 32 already. Why did they have to continue to play and the frame was not given to Trump? Explain for me anyone :D

Mark Selby is only world number 1 because he enters all the events? *Facepalm* If that was the case, Steve Davis would be number 1 again. He enters into everything. Mark Selby got up into number 1 because he was very consistent in 2011, always making it to the later stages of tournaments and winning the Shanghai masters in 2011 too. And why are people still arguing about the John Higgins match fixing thing.?Wasn't that like over 2 years ago now.? It's pretty sad you are fixated on that still.

he should'nt of even been aloud to enter this champinship for what he did. Disgusting and totally undeserved. Quinten Hann got 8 years for doing what piggins did. But they couldnt do the same to john cos the game needs him, DISGUSTING.

Tris Bm never thought of the fact Hann was a bad person who was accused of abusing women etc and wanting to fight fellow snooker players maybe the was happy to get rid of him forever
