What a pro, at the top of his game for so long. Pot black & the world's back in our childhood was dominated by Irish, Welsh, English & Canadians. Eddie Sinclair if memory serves was the top Scot, rarely seen on tv. When Hendry & then John, two of the best ever to play the game came along it was an amazing time to be a fan of the game. Excellent show 🍀HH🍀

I played John in a good few handicap comps in his 16-20 Yr old days...even then his,and Alan Mcmanus' sportsmanship and honesty were a cut above most of the top players in that scene. All great players in their own right,but the 'no excuses' attitude was,i believe,a huge factor in his future success. Brilliant days for Scottish snooker with a strong pro-am scene.

Great episode again, unfortunately the memory of Partisan is still rattling around in my head, still makes me cringe. Love the Cosmos top too, seen them play a good half dozen times between 2014 and 2017, its a sad story, almost 4 yrs since the doors were closed, saw Raul play for them. Never count them out, I always admired them for wanting to stay in independent soccer leagues, they will be back. Higgins is a peoples champion, and such a great personality. If I had to pick someone to be on the show I'd like to see Kevin Bridges, and Tierney why not?

Talking about players being fast and some deceptive I saw an interview with Martinelli of Arsenal recently. The interviewer said to him you must be the fastest player at the club, who’s the second. He said that he wasn’t the fastest, Tierney was. Bring him home

The Masters Snooker Hall in Craigpark, Dennistoun, just round the corner from Alexandra Parade was the home base for many years for Alan McManus…before that it was a swimming pool, Dennistoun Private Baths….what an amazing and fascinating story ….well done John Higgins….the Wishaw Wizard…..

John Higgins. Circa 2001?Cottage Bar, Calton. Before big game, made time for all the folk who approached him. Chatted away. Glad it didn’t have a pool table. Poor guy would still be there holding the table. 😂

I don't know Stephen Hendry personally . . . but I do know his mum and she said: I hated Higgins every time I saw him . . . on and off the snooker table. He made me sick with his play . . . potting longer shots at better angles . . . I said Stephen . . . he's some sort of fenian bastard . . . so I don't know if he'll get anywhere?
@SirDannyCool5 сағат бұрын
Now would anyone believe . . . Mrs Hendry met Mr Higgins and they played a game of snooker . . . Mr Higgins said OK Mrs Hendry I know you love Edinburgh and so do I but Stephen isn't here . . . so I'm going to give you a 55 start . . . OK Mr Higgins I'm going to say: I'm going to pot a ball off the break . . . . and she did and then said Is it two shots to me? Yes it is Mrs Hendry ................... thank you John . . . I'm not John Mrs Hendty . . . OH my mistake

You may as well just rebrand this the ‘Tommy the Commie Show’ and have Sheridan standing in front of a massive mirror reciting some egocentric affirmations for an hour. This would have been another great interview if it wasn’t ruined once again by Tommy’s desire to make it all about himself. He’s not even remotely aware of what he’s doing, neither are the ACSOM team.

I agree. 30:35 Scotland is a tiny wee nation and we do not produce very many world champions and here we have a 4 time world champion and you are free to ask him anything but all we're getting is Tommy's opinion on what Igamane should've done with that 4 v1 situation in the LC final..... Why not ask John Higgins (you know, the ONE world class sportsman in the room) about decision making under pressure in snooker as it compares to football. But nah... We'll just have another few minutes of Tommy bloviating about the cup final instead

@@Mantis_Toboggan_MD. His massive Ego obviously felt incredibly threatened sitting next to a real life mercurial Wizard and a four-time World Champ, thus he had to counter it by going full main character syndrome - as he does practically every week!

This show is great but would be so much better if Tommy wasn't on it. Offers nothing apart from making it all about himself and what is it with that fake over the top laugh every two minutes. PJ, surely with your ACSOM contact list you can get another co-presenter that actually asks the guests good questions and not just use the show to blow up his ego.
@iainroy664321 сағат бұрын
One of the greatest snooker players of all time can hardly get a word in edge ways because of Tommy...let John talk!! Why is Tommy always on this show? PJD asks John a question, John has about 90 seconds to answer before Tommy jumps in again..i'm cringing watching him constantly butting in.
