I mean what a run to the title, to beat a rejuvenated Ronnie in the quarter-finals, Mark Williams who was the world number 1 and on top form in the semi-finals and then a young Judd Trump who was playing unbelievable snooker and was only a few months from winning the UK Championship, all in a row.

During that tournament Judd Trump played some of the most exciting, frightening snooker I'd ever seen before or since, including in the final. It just goes to show, the best players don't always win.
