Bartman's interference wasn't even the inning-ending out - Juan Pierre doubled with 1 out and Mark Prior was 110 pitches in by the time he threw that infamous pitch to Louis Castillo. Prior led the majors in pitches per start that year, but EVEN with that it just isn't smart to keep him in that game with a 3-0 lead that clinches the pennant. Steve Bartman and Bill Buckner shared a lot of similarities in each of their situations. Buckner has something terrible happen to him on the biggest stage in sports, and was vilified for it by Boston fans and media alike, and like Dan Patrick said he answered every question and he took the blame for it, and it wasn’t until after they went after his family that he finally said enough, and moved his family to Idaho, away from it all. The fact that he returned to Boston years later, had to be gut-wrenching for him. Bartman never took a dime, never capitalized on the situation, and has never been back to Wrigley since then. I hate it for Bartman , because it took the joy from what he had for the game and turned it into pain and sorrow.

were looking at this more than ten years later but you have to realize why people at the stadium got ma,d in the heat of the moment so much history riding on the game after all the years of hardship on suffering, your about to finally go to the world series and break the curse and then steve bartman deflects a ball that alou could have caught of course you are going to be mad but I personally don't blame him because im not a cubs fan
