what everyone doesnt realize is that if bartman would got out of the way and alou makes the play it would of been the second out of the inning whos to say that everything that happened after that play wouldnt of still happened with 2 outs instead of 1

alex gonzalez could of easily had bailed out bartmann

Yes after two outs everything can happen

It wouldn't because after alou couldn't get that foul ball the completion of the game changed
@williamshultz46205 жыл бұрын
Psychologically it had a huge affect. Situationally you go from having 2 outs and 1 on, instead of 1 out and 2 on. Changes the way you pitch to the next batter immensely.
@mttzakr235 жыл бұрын
He wouldnt have been able to get it.....it was close, but I think the ball drifted too far into the front row. Alou would have needed to jump higher or longer arms. Probably the most overrated and unecessary sports tragedy in history

That was an out. There is a huge difference between one out and two outs. I get the fact that fans want to catch a foul ball but those were the playoffs. That was great Cubs team. The best they have ever had. Even better than the team that won the World Series.

Nah, Id say the bullpen and ofense in 16 was better. The 08 team was crazy good too just too right-handed.

Wow. He just threw Alex Gonzalez under the bus. 15 years later, here he is to give us his side of the story and he throws attention to Gonzalez's missed play. Yes we do remember that play. Everyone does. But no need to mention it like that. Anyway I like Alou. My guess is that he's the one who smashed Sosa's ghetto blaster. I wish they finally say who it was.

I see a lot of racist Cubs fans in the comments. Blaming Moises Alou because he's Dominican. Dominican players should boycott the Chicago Cubs organization for their ungrateful and racist treatment of us. 🇩🇴

when you sit in seats in the front row its very simple. if your team is on defense you let YOUR Team into the stands. EVERYTIME. if your team, the home team is at bat THEN you go after the ball when the opposing team comes into the stands. At Yankees stadium this has always been a topic as I have sat in front row seating many many times. In Chicago it must not be that way as he was sort of defended as its human nature to go after the ball. WRONG only GO AFTER THE BALL if your team is at BAT IT IS.
