I kid you not when I say that the theater was completely silent. It was like everyone was too scared to make a sound, and that the monster would either come for them, in the theater, or the family on the screen. Very very good.

No scary movies are scary to me since i grew up but some could have a creep factor like if you were there type stuff or if it was real. I loved the plot and it was deep and well done to the end and i even felt bad the(SPOILER ALERT)---------------------dad died because he made you actually root for them. Most movies now make me want the main protagonist dead do to bs they do or over the top dumb dramatic moments the average person wouldn't do. This one was actually heart felt and you felt bad for even the lil girl at the beginning and the looks on their faces said it all and made the movie much more surreal and it was an experience to see a silent movie done so well. He deserves and oscar and nomination just for his delivery on this movie. He is also a genuine heartfelt guy very watchful of things and you can say overall relateble. Loved the movie rewatched it 2 more times. I hope part 2 if it goes on can be just as good with out wearing out things that made its source because as human beings when we seen something we remember and it gets old. I think it was a 5 star movie and possibly with annihilation the only movie i liked outside Marvel movies. its hard to make me like all the scary horror films with bad plot over the top dumb stuff they do and over dramatic moments.

mike portugal Saying it's "kinda early" has no meaning in this context. Why too early? Has the movie not come out? Have we not seen it? To say it is "one of the most tense and incredible horror movies of all time" is not to say that it is the best horror movie that will ever be made. Even then, Noah said it is ONE of the most tense and incredible -- didn't say it IS the definitive best.

I find horror films so cheesy, and not worth watching until they're on Netflix or Hulu, especially ones dealing with aliens and weird apocalyptic scenarios, HOWEVER, this film is so unique in the filming style, the story, the actors, etc. Its the only horror movie that has made my cry, and I regret waiting so long to watch it. I'll definitely be in the theater for the sequel.

Can you imagine how hard to would be to not he able to laugh or talk? Like it would drive me crazy to not just use my full voice every once in a while. You can't listen to music or sing. **Okay let me clarify I haven't seen the movie but I really want to. I did not intend on my comment being taking so literally. Obviously they could use headphones, and still communicate verbally. I meant that I would miss the freedom of making noise and hearing noise in a general sense. I also completely understood that this movie takes place in a post apocalyptic future where music already exsisted. Didn't think I'd have to explain that when I originally posted this comment but okay. Im glad some people understood the point I was trying to get across.

Yasemin BAHAR how was music even created if you can’t even hear it? you don’t know what sounds good together and all music must be created to hear. It’s not like you can strap headphones up to a cello 🤔 I wonder how they did it

This scene was definitely one of the best scenes in the whole film. And what really sold me to it was how Johns eyes dart around after having put out the fire. John is a master of conveying emotion with only a subtle look and he was the perfect choice to act in this, and direct the young actors to convey the correct facial expressions.
@LindsayNaidus6 жыл бұрын
This movie is easily in my top 5 of all time. Not just horror, but all genres. While it is considered a "horror or thriller" it's so much more than that. It's beautiful and emotional and nerve-wracking. This is one of those movies I've been waiting for, as a horror fan, for forever. I'm 33 years old, which isn't THAT old, but to have an American-made horror film touch on so many different emotions with a really amazing storyline is seriously refreshing! Anyone who isn't quite convinced about going to see this movie in the theater, GO! This is 100% a need to see in the theater movie. It's so good!

I simply loved this film. It must be said, and so I will say it, John Krasinski did such a terrific job of showing how much--as a father in this film--he loved his kids (that scene at the end when the snotty little deaf girl--great job by the actress in making me see her that way---sees in the basement the effort her dad had been going through to prefect her hearing devices wrecked me). Overall, the fact that this film is such a success does not surprise me in the least. America--indeed humans around the world--reward excellence.
@Asdfghjkl-pb1ir6 жыл бұрын
I don’t think I’d call her snotty, she’s just becoming a teenager and her dad is giving her false hope every time by giving her those hearing aids. She can’t do half the things her brother does because her dad is worried she’ll make too much noise and not know. Millie’s character is very human in the sense that she reacts the way anyone else would being put in that situation.
