However he decided to cast Millie, it was an amazing decision. Not only because it gave deaf people a chance to realize that they can be successful or be actors, but how she actually taught everyone on set how to do sign language and she was able to communicate with Emily and John and everyone even when they weren't filming. And how he made her the lead even with a hearing disability.

lets be real - how many handicapped performers will the Society support. very presumptuous and cringe to say this helped the Deaf community. have hope, sure but eyes wide open too - against Capitalism what will win? Human goodness? or Greed? focus energy on managing Capitalism, thats the bigger and more urgent fight. when the world is made "more right"/" less crooked", handicaps live vibrant, full lives too. but sort out what to exactly focus on. give ONE handicapped person only rises hopes cruelty when the larger backdrop REMAINS.

@owenhar 3 жыл бұрын
Actually, in the first film, you can see a newspaper that briefly tells how these ‘Dark Angels’ came to Earth - via an Asteroid that lands in Mexico ☄️. We simply see that this piece of indirect story telling come to life, so I don’t think that will be the premise of a third movie, if there is a third one, which I hear will be written and directed by someone else.

“I was living at the edge of my seat (…) I hope now people go watch the movie at the edge of their seats” I was literally stressed out for about 95% of the time whilst watching this… you did your job and you did it incredibly well. Headed to the cinemas again tonight for round 2. Thanks, Krasinski!!

This movie needs John. You can't switch the writer and director and not get a massive difference. John has been a massive part of both. 🥲

What I find so interesting is how the characters react so quickly when the monster/chaos starts. Because I’m pretty sure I would just freeze.

See, for me, it's fight or flight mode, I'd be the type of person, to say to my wife and kids, baby, we gotta move, now, stay quiet as u can, let's go. But I completely understand ur point on this, it's a terrifying thought. 😱

I know that in sudden jump-scare moments that I freeze (unfortunately)!! When we were preteens, my sister did a very effective jump-scare on me and I froze-up with even my scream not coming out for at least 2-3 seconds. I would be a goner😞😵!
