He didn’t just tell Blackman later he was sorry. Blackman insisted he publicly apologize in front of everyone or he’d kick his ass worse. So at the arena that night, he had to go in front of everyone and say he was sorry lol. Al snow and others have said this. And as he mentions but glosses over, he’d been harassing Blackman for a long time and Blackman finally snapped.

Shamrock, Severn, and Blackman were trained and practiced NHB fighters. The toughest wrestlers were great bar fighters, some even with exceptional amateur credentials in THEIR youth aka Steve Dr Death Williams. Shoot fighters or shoot grapplers are the next level, it is what they did, The Brawl For All ended up being costly in injuries and jsut good stories. Fighting is unpredictable and no money driven business likes anything unpredictable.

Blackman wasn't an NHB fighter, he was a bouncer that did powerlifting and trained in Karate/Muay Thai. He wasn't a competitive fighter like Shamrock, Severn or Bart Gunn.

I came here from a 2007 interview with Steve Blackman where he was describing life on the road with WWE's schedule and specifically noted that you have to learn to sleep anywhere and any time you can. JBL just described himself and the others depriving Blackman of his opportunity to sleep and with migraines on top of it. Just one more example of JBL being a jerk to add to the list.

There was no "knock-out". Styles Blindsided him/Sucker punched him where he didn't see it coming, so he fell because he was off balance getting "knocked over" and basically "took a knee" for a split second before immediately standing back up. That is a different thing from a KO.

Take a shot anytime someone points out that fighters are fighters and wrestlers aren't fighters! Anytime someone uses "real deal" to describe someone!
