I’ve met Kevin Nash , a handful of times. he’s always been super nice and super cool not just to me but everyone like there are some wrestlers like I’m from the Carolinas and we have all of these wrestling events in the fall because that’s when Starrcade originally would happen. Like WrestleCade , and other events where NWA/WCW wrestlers come back to the Carolinas, and he always has one of the longest lines and I’ve seen other wrestlers at these events basically signed something take a picture and pretty much push the fans out so they can just get through their line. Kevin will sit there and talk to you. I remember one time we were talking and I started feeling bad because I knew there was about 200 people behind me so I just up with him and told him thank you but we talked for like seven minutes and he talked for about five minutes with the guy ahead of me. He is very appreciative of his fans.

Watching your vids I see a guy who was in the business but is humble and real when talking about your career and what you have seen. Success or not, you been around at the height of the Attitude era and beyond, Went from ECW, WCW, WWF a unique insight of being one of the boys at the "Day to day" level of the roster from a fan's perspective. Sometimes you get the more interesting and down to earth stories from someone at the middle or lower than say on top. It's very human to see you in your vids be humble or second guess yourself, that is so relatable to us who watch. It would be cool to pick your brain about the business you saw and were a part of for so many years.

I was at the Extreme Reunion and Rising Shows, and Stevie is speaking the truth . Extreme Reunion had beyond Standing Room Only, friggin people in the parking lot that couldn't get in, that still stood out there just to hear the show. And boy, was everybody disappointed, Crazy late start, technical issues and wrestlers (and promoter/wrestlers) that didn't even get in shape for the show, hell, some didn't even bother with a spray tan. Reunion was a clusterf*$#, Rising was a bit of redemption. But for both shows, Stevie was one of the brightest spots. Best shape of his career and really gave 110%. He wanted to be there, unlike many others who were just there to collect money off their name. Raven was booked to wrestle but was in such bad shape, he showed up with a "bootleg flock" and had them get beat up while he tried to be clever on the house mic. I was at the outpost that checked the passengers in great detail which involved opening the luggage and checking their personal belongings with unlimited range. I was staring into space, when a man slams his suitcase up on the table… it’s Ric Flair! Flair than starts to rant about getting chosen to be screened, he stated that he worked with 200 of the most patriotic men in world and he’s swearing up and down. I look at him, and dryly say to him, I’m just doing my job… and I’ll get you out of here as soon as possible. After that he didn’t say anything but thank you and left. They say never meet your heroes… I know that was a awkward moment but he could of been more professional since he is a public figure, I never forgot or like him much after that - imagine how many more moments he had like that with people?

7:28 - Ric Flair Story
@RikkiRoxxNWS21 күн бұрын
Ric Flair of all people should have figured out long ago that pro wrestling isn't a meritocracy and that just because your gimmick is "the greatest of all time" doesn't mean that you're any better than anyone else. Someone always has to "make" you. Flair had a ton of guys "make" him, but to this day he seems like he feels entitled to that, as if guys like Race and Steamboat and Luger and Sting and Garvin were all just footnotes in the story of "the almighty Ric Flair", based on the way he talks about and treats people just in general. It's a shame, but people do it to themselves when they buy into their own hype, especially in a completely scripted business. I met him once around 2008 or so, and he was nice to me BUT that's after I paid something like $200 for a meet-and-greet at a convention so it's to be expected that he'd be on his best behavior. You almost never hear any outside the ring stories about what a great guy he is, and it's for a reason. I'd never heard the story Stevie talks about but that's as classless as it gets and I commend Stevie for keeping his cool.
