@kevinskipp30295 жыл бұрын
@Jayne Eyre No...he has expressed regret and is a model prisoner. The reason he'll never get out is that no parole board wants to have to deal with the absolute sh*tstorm that it would cause. If he'd shot a random guy he'd have been out by now. If he'd shot a minor popstar he'd also have likely been out. Chapman is SO not getting out, ever. Period. Despite his good prison behavior over the past 38 years, it doesn't matter anymore. He took away on purpose, one of the greatest singer/songwriters that ever came from Liverpool, from his wife Yoko Ono, his two boys, and from every Beatle fans across the world. Yesterday was the 38th anniversary of rock's darkest day. In two years John will have been dead as long as he lived. What the world lost is immeasurable.

The whole MK Ultra program set up by CIA--Chapman was their patsy and fall guy for John's murder. :'(

I think that was exactly what John Lennon would of hated.

Chapman was Looney. Listen to the Last Podcast on The Left episodes on Chapman, it is crazy how long he was planning on killing Lennon.

I was 19 years old at that time. I'm watching tv late at night and my sister calls to say Lennon had been shot. Thinking (hoping) it was a minor injury, I switch channels to find any news on it. I settle on Monday Night Football just in time to hear Cosell say that John had been shot... and killed. The pain of that night has subsided but the disbelief still rings true 43 years later.

I heard about this from the car radio, on the freeway. The DJ said, "A wacko emptied a gun into John Lennon, tonight." 'emptied a gun' those words got me I violently pulled over and went into shock I saw the Ed Sullivan show and on my 9th b-day, saw The Beatles, live. It was Aug 1965 Portland OR being in the same 'room' with John gave us a connection John4Ever

One of the saddest days of my life apart from losing grandparents, parents. It was so surreal. I think I realized that I no longer had the pleasure of being a hid (I was 20. very sheltered).

A BLAST: Just like a THUNDERBOLT A flame between the shoulders As ground rush up to meet me face A thought: "Now this is odd... 'I'm SHOT' sez I, (for, yes I was) T'was not as I'd IMAGINED... As mortal body hit the deck I thought: "I'm meeting GOD"... The rush of footsteps all about (Poor agitated Mother...) My lifeblood quickly running out Preparing for another I suddenly was up above And looking down at LENNON Who looked so frail and waifish Amongst the folks who gathered Half-in and more than halfway out Already on The Way... Tho' still some life left in the lad He simply cannot stay And like a giant ragdoll, Removed quickly from the scene Traffic lights - the noise of Life Of fellow Human Beans "LENNON" is what they all cried: John Lennon Lennon Lennon... As I hovered up above My old name echoed and repeated "Save Him - We Must Save Him" - In their thoughts and energy As if LENNON were the Ticket To Salvation It really was astounding Quite the spectacle, my friends And I marveled at their wild DETERMINATION The white walls of the hospital The stark wails of the fans The sadness of His family And His friends Yet YONDER now was beckoning And the wonder of it all As remembering: "Ah! We BEGIN AGAIN..." With JOY, remembered: WE DON'T DIE! It all came rushing through Embraced in Father-Mother's Love Knew We had God's work To do. And now mere words elude Him Yes, Wordsmith Wonder Lennon Except for one: A Signpost Accompanied by a Song And brightly lit By a single Star: "LENA." 👁❤🌟
