I've been a Beatle's fan since the Sullivan shows in 1964. So, I have heard just about all of it. I have the bootlegs to prove it. Look, Lennon gave McCartney a lot of shit about his sappy granny music. A lot well deserved. But you have to admit that after the first solo release the quality of his writing started to deteriorate and he never rebounded. I don't want to hear love songs to Yoko. Man what shit. His final album sucked. It just did. There is absolutely no juice to it. Middle age elevator rock. I loved these guys but it is what it is, the solo stuff never equaled what the unit created. And this song just goes along with all the other lackluster late period Lennon stuff.
