That was such a nice thing to see . Specially Johns mum, Julia's grave . So sad that things happen the way they for some people. And so nice to see your video made as respectfully as possible . I almost wished you had put a flower there for all of us who feel for John, Julia and family. I imagined I could have placed one . Thank You Alan. All the best from Australia. Rob .

I didn’t realise you had done this one ALan, I’ve visited myself. Coincidentally I have the same names as John and Paul’s mothers. Mary- Julia. This was lovely and brought back great memories for me. It’s a silly little thing but when I was at Paul’s house I asked to pick a little clippings of lavender which grew in the garden (and was dried out and placed around the inside of his home). I took it home and planted it and now have a beautiful lavender bush that grew from that clipping.

Hello Thistle, what a wonderful little story sorry I missed it when you first posted. So long as you didn't take your hammer and chisel out and chop a bit of the door brickwork away like some people have done. I don't think it's any problem taking the cutting. Love this story. Thank you, Alan

@@MotorHomeBeepBeep Hi there, nope I would never take anything like that. I actually asked the person looking after the house for the clipping and they said no problem. I went to Jim Morrisons grave and was very sad that people were chipping away at his head stone for a souvenir 😔. I thinks it’s now made of some kind of metal to try and curtail that! We have to preserve these things for the future ❤️

January 1970: I had arranged a meeting with John at Apple HQ, 3 Savile Row, one Saturday, to ask his opinion of a song I had written a few weeks before. I flew down from Glasgow's Abbotsinch Airport (we had been decanted from Edinburgh Turnhouse because of fog) ... Midnight take-off turned into 01.30 hours take-off. Standby ticket (Royal Mail flight, including 'civilians!') cost me £3.00, pre-decimal farce. Circa one week's wages for this then Apprentice Engineer. Flight very turbulent. 13 passengers on the plane. Landed. Bus to Central London, arriving about 03.00 hours. Traipsed to Savile Row. Tried to sleep in adjacent red telephone boxes ... Apple HQ opened doors 09.00. Introduced myself. Lovely receptionist (I believe the Lady's name is/was Debbie Wellum - check out the long video of the Beatles' rooftop concert for Debbie's presence, please) advised me that John did not usually appear on a Saturday until about noon. I waited about two hours and became impatient. *Idiot me left.* At the bottom of the few steps leading down to the pavement, there were two uncovered metal dustbins to the left. The bins were overflowing with edited tapes from the basement studio/s. I thought about getting a few string-handled brown paper bags and 'liberating' some of the tapes, but my tiredness and stupidity made me think that I might look like a thief ... I made my way to Victoria Coach Station and wended my weary way back up to Livingston, Scotland. Thanks for the video and memories, M B B/Alan! Stay free. Rab 🍻 😎 ⏰ 🎲 🌠 🕊

Thank you for a lovely suggestion. I would really like to do it but the only problem is I had it on my schedule and then two other channels to do similar videos. I've already done it with the angle that maybe she's buried in the family vault so I think if I did it now it would be a little bit like repeating. Thank you so much for your suggestion though I'm still thinking I might not sure.

My parents knew both John And Paul, infact my dad was in the same class as Lennon at Quarry Bank (he also knew Jimmy Tarbuck and Bill Cartwright). I no longer live in Liverpool but when I return I see just how much The Beatles are being exploited for money which I can understand in this day and age. Sorry, I digress. I once asked my dad what Lennon was like, he replied 'obnoxious big headed loud mouth tw*t', I was shocked! I don't think they got along. Mum and dad knew lots of the stars that came out of Liverpool in the 60's I guess they where in the right place at the right time. My dad has passed now but my mum who is now 80 still drops bombs on me when I recall my childhood growing up in the early 60's with 'oh yes, used to get the bus with her, him, them'.

Hello I S 👋 super funny! I loved it. You made me smile. I know I meant a couple that knew Freddie Star from Liverpool. It seemed that at that era the stars were still very much into mingle with the community. You can imagine John being like that when he was young. Your mum sounds like a real down to earth gem. Thank you ever so much you have ever you want to contribute to a video in somewhere. Let me know. It was a great read. Thank you, Alan

@@MotorHomeBeepBeep Your welcome Alan, you and my mum would get on big time. Here is a story for you, and I guess it is related in what you do. My mum's birth mother committed suicide when my mother was two years old (I guess we now call it postnatal depression) she found this out when she was 36 years old, long after her father passed. My narna (my pops second wife) told my mum the true story of her family because my mum knew things didn't seem to add up and there was 'talk' in the family. When I say narna, she of course was not my true narna as she was not my paternal grandma (but she was to me). Anyways, my mum asked questions, she eventually found out her birth mother was buried in Anfield Graveyard in Liverpool, by this time she had moved away from Liverpool but it was always on her mind. This is where I come in, my mum was about to turn 70 (a big one!) I asked her what she wanted as a present, she replied 'I want to find my mums grave'. I accepted the challenge, I did research, I knew she was there but did not know where, so on a whim I drove my mum to the cemetery and by luck found a fella who had kept all the records of burials and we found it. She said a few words and planted some daffs, it was a good day.

This false 'Strawberry Field' means *Nothing Is Real* to me. The words 'pastiche' and 'rip-off' spring to mind. No offence to you, Alan - I simply smell the odious reek of commercialisation and exploitation, reinforced with a wide streak of untruths via this corporate attempt at trying to change History and Truth.
