When MacArthur downgraded the crime of taking the mark of the Beast from a CAPITAL OFFENCE to a MISDEMEANOR he has very likely caused many to stumble and be damned since, they will reason: "We MUST take the mark or we will not be able to get groceries." In this MacArthur has brought great guilt on himself in the Day of Judgement. This is what the prophet Ezekiel warned other prophets about: …17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me. 18 I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I WILL HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE for his blood. 19 But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, BUT YOU WILL HAVE SAVED YOURSELF.… (Ezekiel 3:17-19)

@@wordopencom328 Irresistible Grace does not negate deceptive or heretical teachings. You do remember that there is an unpardonable sin, that of blaspheming The Holy Spirit. If God says DO NOT TAKE THE MARK or you will be condemned forever, pretty sure He means it. I love John McArthur's preaching, I could listen to him for days, but I do not put my trust in man. Especially one with huge ego and pride. You can go golfing with him and get a Bible study all at the same time...if you happen to have an extra $1000 or so laying around. I experienced the "Calvin spirit" in a vicious attack by leadership in a church I had served in faithfully for years. I had noticed this ideology creeping in and was concerned so I tried to biblically address it. I was shocked, as an older woman, to be so verbally abused with lies and the impugning of my character by 2 men and the gossip that followed. It was horrible, I left that week and found another place of fellowship. I am coming to the place where I can begin to feel pity for them, but the wound is deep. Praise God though, my life is hid in Christ and it is well with my soul.

And that woman's abusive husband also molested their children! On top of that, MacArthur asked the congregation to pray for that man to receive the compassion "he deserves!" To hear John MacArthur talk, God thrives on watching women suffering at the hands of their husbands. People like him cite MALACHI 2:16 to say divorce is wrong, but they ought to see what PSALM 11:9 says regarding how God feels about violent people. Instead though, they act like wife beaters and child abusers are doing nothing wrong and that battered wives who leave their abusers are committing an unpardonable sin.

The problem with the Calvinist way of thinking on limited atonement is they do not realize there is a difference between "Appropriation" and "Application". Jesus made the Provisions for all and it is complete. But we, through faith, must apply it to ourselves. Think of this analogy; What if I was so wealthy I was able to provide for every person on the planet, and I went up to a homeless person on the street and told him I have placed a significant amount of money in a bank account in his name. The money will allow him to buy a home and get off the street. Now, the provisions (appropriation) has already been made for him, but if he does not BELIEVE my words to him he will never go to the bank and get the money so it will never be "applied" to him.

If you are unsure about where you will end up when you die, chances are you have never been told the truth about the GRACE AND MERCY OF GOD. The truth is; eternal life is easy to inherit because salvation is a “free gift”. BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST FOR ETERNAL LIFE (John 11:26)! He is the only true Savior of the world (John 14:6). Isaiah 55:6 KJV 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: It is truthfully GOOD NEWS that salvation is a “FREE GIFT” (Romans 5:14-16). To better understand why this is such good news, it is expedient for us to acknowledge that we are a sinner in need of a Savior. The fact is we all sin. Regardless of how well we may understand the difference between right and wrong, we cannot always do that which is right, and never do that which is wrong. This is a big problem because God is perfect and heaven is a perfect place, so nothing can get into heaven that would defile it in any way (Revelation 21:27). If we want to get into heaven we must be perfect (sinless) and none of us are. The Bible indicates that the wages of sin is death. Since we all sin, we all die. If we do not go to heaven when we die, then we will go to hell. God is Holy, and because of His righteousness, He must be just and punish sin. Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try, we cannot make ourselves perfect (sinless). Therefore, we cannot save ourselves from going to hell and from the punishment for our sins. We need God to save us! The great news is that although God hates our sin because it hurts us, hurts others, and separates us from Him; He loves us and made a way for us to be with Him in heaven. John 3:16-17 KJV 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Jesus Christ, who is God, God the Son (1 John 5:7), manifested in the flesh and was made in the likeness of men. He was born of a virgin (a miracle birth) and lived a perfect sinless life (which only God can do). Since He did not sin (Hebrews 4:15), He did not have to die. However, He suffered for us, died for us on the cross, and His precious blood was shed for the remission of our sins. I DECLARE UNTO YOU THE GOSPEL (1 CORINTHIANS 15:3-4); HOW THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES; AND THAT HE WAS BURIED, AND THAT HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES. Although Jesus was without sin and did not have to die, He suffered and died for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2). That includes your sins! He loves you so much that He died for all of your past, present, and future sins so that you may have eternal life by believing on Him. The fact that He died, proves He was delivered for the penalty of our sins. The fact that He was buried, proves His death was a real death. The fact that He resurrected in bodily form on the third day, proves He satisfied the required penalty for our sins and abolished death. Thus, we may have life and immortality through what Jesus accomplished for us. BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND YOU SHALL BE SAVED (Acts 16:31). There is nothing else that is required of you for salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9). The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). This gift would not be “eternal” if it could be lost, forfeited, or walked away from. If you have believed on Christ Jesus, you can rest assured that you shall never perish (John 10:28), and that you have received forgiveness for all of your sins (Colossians 2:13). In which case, you now have everlasting life (John 6:47). The Bible says that God is love (1 John 4:8). God proved this to be true when He was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself; as His suffering and death for the sins of the whole world was the ultimate act of LOVE.

MacArthur is apparently a very conflicted man. There are many videos that show how he preaches and teaches conflicting interpretations of the same scriptures. I think MacArthur was deeply influenced, in a bad way, by his love and admiration of R.C. Sproul. Sproul clearly had a profound effect on MacArthur and his following of Calvin's teachings.

Everything you are saying is true, and I gave up on McArthur over a decade ago since I am a born again woman with the spiritual gifts of evangelism, prophesying, teaching and tongues. I used to read his commentaries, and since the Lord Jesus made me born again in March 2005, my "Christian OSAS" husband divorced me and remarried which the Bible says is ongoing adultery. McArthur teaches you can divorce and remarry just like the other Calvinists and Reformers. His point is futile considering single women do not have a husband to submit to. The Corinthians had tongues out of order in church, but three can speak with interpretation, and it doesn't say women can't speak in tongues. I do not believe that women should be pastors in the government of a church or deacons since they aren't the "husband of one wife." Most of American churches are spiritually dead because they failed to do church discipline- 1 Corinthians 5- and didn't meet like the early church with each person giving their gifts to the body of Christ on a daily basis. John 17 tells us the Father knows who He is giving to His Son, Jesus Christ, but unless we ALL are sharing the gospel, we don't obey the command to do the Great Commission and don't really obey the Greatest Commandment either. My main channel- Walking by the Spirit Always- does this to get people saved in the last minutes before the rapture. Jesus is Lord. Maranatha.

I too have heard contrasting statements from him when it comes to the gospel which is insane. The worst comparison was when he used the term born again and compared it to how you didn't have a choice in being born physically. So the logical conclusion from him was the same way you didn't choose to be born here on earth you too cannot choose to be born again. Which actually falls in line with his true beliefs since he thinks God has to regenerate you before you can actually believe the gospel which means salvation truly isn't offered to all mankind. His misrepresentation of God's character is the actual meaning behind don't take the Lord's name in vain. Don't attempt to be an ambassador for someone you can't possibly represent perfectly. This is why Christ is the fulfillment of the law and the prophets and why anyone who puts themselves under the law to establish their own righteousness only condemns themselves by their own ignorance.

I disagree with McArthur on Calvanism and pretrib rapture, but something that's bothering me is it seems you're critiquing him for allowing women to speak because he read the word of God verbatim. The word is what it is. Maybe he also has a more nuanced view. Just reading scripture doesn't tell us anything on his interpretation. Also, you seem to take joy in taking jabs at "his fans" and I'm noticing a pattern of consistent animosity on this channel, rather than correcting in love. That doesn't sit well with me.

John MacArthur is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I do not agree with his view on women in the church but my main issue with him is his 50 year ministry focused on converting young or new Christian believers into Calvinists. Calvinism is not just a set of secondary nonessential doctrines that some Bible believing Christians don't agree on, it is much more serious than that. Those doctrines fundamentally change who Jesus is and who Jesus came to save and that also changes the true Gospel into a very different false gospel. And they have a very sneaky tactic of infiltrating non-Calvinist churches and seminaries with a plan of stating all the same beliefs as others in the church for a while until they gain trust and influence, and then they slowly start to introduce their Calvinistic poison and push out anyone who won't adopt and adhere to Calvinism. It splits churches, families, friends and is a major growing problem in Christianity today. All my latest videos for months now have been on this topic.

I disagree with John MacArthur about many things, but that doesn't mean he is wrong about everything! It is unbiblical to have women preach or hold office in the church. There is nothing in the Bible to support it. Deborah? She was a judge and the only woman in the entire Bible to have authority over God's people. A single exception doesn't prove anything. There were female prophets, but that is not the same as a New Testament pastor or elder. The woman at the well? She didn't preach, she testified. She witnessed. Anyone can do that. I'm disappointed. I was hoping you might be a source of solid teaching on KZbin. Looks like I was wrong.

I like your name. Are you the pastor of a Baptist church in Arkansas? I hope so, my kind of guy. I bet you can preach! Thank you for watching and commenting. The point of this video was to prove 2 things... 1. how MacArthur does not practice what he preaches regarding 1 Cor 14: 35 which is made abundantly clear not by my opinion but what takes place in his church as shown with video evidence. 2. That Limited Atonement, the L in TULIP 5 points of Calvinism, is unbiblical and blasphemy. There are Baptist churches today that have been influenced by Calvinism. Calvinism has infiltrated Christian seminaries and produced young men to go out and become pastors at churches and filling the minds of people with these unbiblical doctrines. I hope when you say you disagree with MacArthur about many things that means you are still preaching to your flock the true Gospel and not Total Depravity or any of the other false TULIP doctrines or Lordship Salvation which is works based salvation. I love to speak about the role of men and women in the church, and you and I disagree on that (many Christians disagree with me), and though I believe wholeheartedly in what I say on this topic, it is a nonessential aspect of salvation. However, Calvinism touches on an essential aspect of Christian faith. Did Jesus Christ shed his blood for all, and die for all so that whosoever believes in Him receives the forgiveness of sins and by faith is given the gift of grace which is eternal life, being a new creation in Christ, new birth, born again? Calvinist don't believe that. They believe the "elect" are saved and regenerated out of total depravity and their hatred of God into sudden new birth by God and as a result are then given faith and grace. Nope, faith precedes regeneration.

Can a female be a “one woman man”? Or “the husband of one wife”? Because according to 1 Tim. 3:2 and Titus 1:6, an elder is to be the husband of one wife. Is it possible for a woman to be a husband to one wife? Also, does it not matter that in 1 Tim. 2:12-14, Paul explicitly states “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over a man,” why? “For Adam was first formed, then Eve.” He continues by saying that “Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in trasngression” He roots the restriction to the creation order, it was not a cultural context. In this video you did not give any kind of exegesis on the primary texts regarding this topic, all you did was lay out accusations of hypocrisy against MacArthur due to you intentionally conflating a designated Q&A session at his church and what MacArthur believes about female pastors.

Your comment is typical of a person who has a narrative they believe and so they cling to one or two verses that seem to fit your belief but is completely out of context and when it is explained in context the response back is, oh so you disagree with the Bible? Wrong. Jesus in Scripture sent the 12 Apostles out to preach and He commanded them to go to only the Jews, no Gentiles or the towns of Samaria. So, why not stop there? Eve being created after Adam would put her above Adam. Paul was a debate expert. He would never be caught saying anything so stupid. Then, Eve was deceived but Adam understood he was betraying God and did it anyway. Whose sin is worse? Anyone with children knows that the one who understood had the worst sin. Last it goes on to say that women are saved not by the blood of Christ but in childbirth and basically by good deeds. In other words works. This is not the gospel and it does not agree with anything Paul the apostle wrote. In Genesis chapter 3 Eve is told what her life will be like. There is no mention of her children. But we are to believe that 1/2 of Eve’s children, the half that looks like her, will be punished forever due to her sin. The other half of her children, the ones that look like men, are not punished for the sins of their parents. However in the book of Jeremiah and again in Ezekial, God clearly says he does not punish children for the sins of their parents. God said that in the mouth of two witnesses. How can you say that women are punished for the sin of Eve. God says not so. Of course Jeremiah and Ezekial lived long after Moses. And Jewish priests interpreted Genesis the way they wanted to. However God straightened them out through his prophets but apparently despite being told they did not correct their error. There is however no reason for us to buy into their error. Also, what did Jesus tell Martha and Mary. Mary had chosen the better part and it wouldn’t be taken from her…until Christianity of course.

@@mchevalier-seawell4438 "jewish priests" are Edomite talmudists. Messiah said they had "their own law", which transgresses the commandments. Matthew 15.2-3, John 7.21-23 This is not taught, but if you read the gospels again and again the spiritual warfare between the children of Jacob-Israel and Esau becomes clear. Messiah was born into Hebrew stock in Bethlehem of Israel - Nazareth is in Israel (not Judah). The disciples of Messiah were Israelites. If Paul were of Benjamin, which is of Israel, he would be an Israelite and not a Pharisee. Paul calls "gentiles" which is code for the nations of Israel - UNCIRCUMCISED and the children of Esau "of the circumcision" (Eph 2.11). So why does Paul, who is a Benjaminite of Israel say he is a Pharisee and circumcised? Also, his disserations on Israel are false. God made a promise to Abraham (Genesis 12.21) that his seed would carry on through Isaac (Jacob-Israel) and that seed does not belong to Esau nor has it been disappeared nor did it shape-shift into "the church", which we are told to come out of. Yes, you are still incorrect. That passage is about when one person trespasses (sins) against another person. They know each other personally and have personal contact with one another in the church. It is not teaching us that when a public minister preaches false doctrines to millions of people that we remain silent and don't warn the public of the false teachings until we can get a sit down visit with them to discuss their error. Do you honestly think anybody that hears John MacArthur preach can disagree and then request a phone call with him to discuss it? What I have seen over and over again is that when John MacArthur hears overwhelmingly from Christians about some egregiously false thing he publicly said or did or some scandal in the news about him or his church, he never even responds to it. He just sends out Phil Johnson to do damage control and shame any critic, defending anything MacArthur said and demonizing those who would dare to disagree with him.

Regarding your response to MacArthur’s answer: If Christ’s death on the cross was an actual atonement, being the propitiation of God’s wrath for sin, He becoming sin on on behalf of every person in the world… is it just for God to punish those sins twice? People who are condemned due to unbelief, how will their sins be punished twice, first on Christ and then in hell? I know you’ll probably say “They will be punished in hell because of their unbelief, for not accepting the gift of Christ through faith.” But is not unbelief sin? If it is then Christ died for that sin. Or are there sins for which Christ did not die? Once again… you have done no exegesis at all to defend your point and you throw “Nope, wrong, nah,” out there when it comes to someone else’s answer. I would also like to point out that you cut off a discussion with me in another video where you accused me of “going off topic,” while you yourself continuously make videos where you’ll start on one topic and then jump here and there and everywhere. Just here in this video you started off by accusing MacArthur of hypocrisy followed by a shallow argument for why women should be allowed to be pastors and then to trying to refute limited atonement with a very bad illustration of a box of chocolates. My friend, you are extremely guilty of jumping around various topics, all seemingly at random.

I'm not a MacArthur fan for many reasons, but this teaching was NOT limited to the church at Corinth, Paul preached the same thing to the pastor of the church at Ephesus even stronger. Also unless you don't believe the Scriptures are inspired this teaching IS for today. If everything Jesus said were written down the whole world could not contain them. So the Holy Spirit had to be very selective in what was included in the 66 books of Scripture. Everything in the Bible isn't to us, but everything in the Bible is for us. What women are to be silent on and are not to teach are doctrine, not testimonies or songs as long as the don't get preachy. Women are not to preach or teach doctrine. God uses the example of Eve to prove his point. Did you ever wonder why Romans 6:23 say "For as by one MAN sin entered into the world...?" If you want to criticize acArthur there's plenty of material, Cavinism, lordship salvation, denial of the blood atonement, etc., but he's right about women preachers and women teaching doctrine.

I have several videos on the role of women in the church and I hope you give them a watch. I know on this issue I don't hold the well entrenched popular view held by many, but those views are shaped by men in charge that want to keep it that way and the doctrine you speak of is a doctrine of man, and not Biblical at all. My view is shaped by what Scripture says and I have to reconcile the passages by Paul in 1 Cor 14: 34,35 and 1 Tim 2: 11-14 and Titus 1 and 1 Tim 3 with all the rest of the New Testament that contradicts it and I just can't do that and still hold the same view as you have. I don't believe God contradicted Himself in Scripture. My interpretation of those passages creates no contradictions, but yours does. This will be so inadequate being so short a comment compared to the extensive Bible study provided on this topic, but let me summarize it anyway and provide you something to ponder a bit. God established both marriage and the Church. Marriage is between a man and a woman and God said the man is to lead. In Church there is a marriage between Jesus Christ and His Bride, the Church or Body of Christ made up of all the born again believers. Jesus is the male headship and the rest of us are the Body. Unlike in marriage between a man and woman in which gender determines their roles in accordance with Scripture, in the Body of Christ the gifts of the Holy Spirit determine our roles, not gender. Remember God launched the Church at Pentecost with (Acts 1) 120 spirit filled men and women who waited upon the Holy Spirit and then went out preached to men who supernaturally heard it in their native languages in Acts 2. Perhaps you think only Peter preached and 3000 souls were saved that day. If you think that, go read Acts 1 and Acts 2 again. They all preached given utterance from the Holy Spirit. Then later in Acts 2 Peter reiterates what the prophet Joel said that in the end times our sons and daughters with prophesy. Why would God have women preaching to men to launch the Church and doing it once again at the end of the Church age but want them silent in the meantime? God does not change. Perhaps do a study of women in the New Testament that preached, taught, were planting churches, co-workers in Christ with Apostle Paul, etc. That just may change your whole outlook on this issue.

Did you know that John MacArthur says that you can take the mark of the beast and still be saved? I love how these scripture twisters will take one verse out of context and make it an absolute, and they miss the basic teachings of the Gospel. He doesn't seem to think that taking the mark of the beast is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, which is the unforgivable sin, but he is quick to say that women must be silent in the church. 🙁 Does he understand the power of words? I consider myself to be a "calvinist," but with the caveat that only God knows who the elect are. Just because someone thinks they are saved, doesn't mean they are saved, so you basically end up back where you started, and round you go. As far as women asking their husbands questions at home and being silent. It would be safe to say that the women in the church of Corinth were being disruptive and asking their husbands questions during the church service. I would guess that women and men sat on different sides of the church making it even more of a disruption. I have been witness to many a women talking during the service and being disruptive even with their spouses sitting right next to them. It seems like a lot of these "reformed" types have an axe to grind when it comes to women in general. They really need to quit with it.

It appears to me that the calvinist teaching on this is that to whatever extent you exercise your moral agency to choose to accept the offer of unmerited grace, you cannot without performing a self-justifying work. But what if our possession of that moral agency is not to our own credit but rather part of the equipment that He provided when he made each of us, then we can be held accountable for how we choose to exercise it.

MacArthur said 1 Corinthians 14: 35 says a woman must be silent in church (he did not say be silent in a church service, but any other event in church other than a church service women can talk all they want and ask questions). If you agree with MacArthur's interpretation of that verse, then you are adding a whole lot to Scripture that doesn't exist in the text to try to defend him and justify his hypocrisy. In fact, verse 35 says if a woman has a question let her ask her husband at home, for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in church. So, there are the facts. Pick a side. Based upon your comment, I believe you have taken the side that women can speak in church and can ask questions. Great! You and I are in complete agreement.

Just like all people who are growing spiritually, you may believe something this year and feel differently about it next year. Why? Because you grow, if you allow yourself to listen to the Christ within you. Actual meaningful Truth as the whole Word of God is always fought. ALWAYS! Thank you for this compilation. What I always watch out for, even false teachers dare not lie all the time. When they refer to “god” I always wonder which “god” they refer to as Lucifer is their god. Like in gods with a little g. They are never specific. Our Creator also has very specific names. The Most High, the Host of Hosts, the Lord of Sabaoth, our Father in Heaven, the Creator. They never use His specific names. The name jesus doesn’t count either for there are many false ones. Even the final one world leader shall claim to be jesus christ. Jesus Christ also has very specific names. Jesus came to save all of us but not all of us want His forgiveness. And we all get thousands of opportunities. If not more.
