John was still dealing with his vocal chord problems during this show. He is unable to hit the high notes. He gestured to Keith to take them at one point. Keith helped him. John returned the favor by helping Keith with his guitar strap. In other words, they didn't let each other down.

I sent this song to Debi one night cuz I really like John Mayer and randomly found this crossroads song (country music channel show, where pop and country meet and they do each other's songs)... And at that time didn't know Debi liked Keith Urban... Or Mayer. I'm a big John Mayer fan... Mostly his early stuff, like his albums Continuum and Battle Studies, but I know them all. I won front row tickets to a John Mayer concert, from a radio station, where Train was opening for them, 15mins from my home. ❤️ and I took my 2 kids, 7 and 10 yrs old. Pat Monahan, of Train, gave them each a gift. So....I, personally, have many reasons why I like the music... Not this particular song only... But their music in whole. If you haven't experienced either of them... And you like rock/pop/country guitar playing with a bluesy feel... Check them both out separately. This is not one of their best songs or performances, by a long shot, either of them... They are much, much better than this. (And this was good) So if you even remotely enjoyed this... Go check out their awesome songs. ❤️ thanks Debi and Ty

This is originally a beatles song, and (aside from the extended guitar solos) they stuck to the original song, so if the song is repetitious, it's because John and Paul wrote it that way, back in the 1960's

There is a song by Keith Urban that pulls at my heart strings every time I hear it. It doesn’t remind me of anyone, but I can so feel this man’s pain as he sings about longing for a love to return, but summer after summer he still waits. Saddest song I have ever heard. But when a song makes you feel this much it has to be a good. The song is Till Summer comes. Can’t wait to hear what you think 🤔

absolutely a pull at your heart strings kind of song. Keith Urban is my sanctuary and has been for 19 years. There isn't a song of his I don't love. There is nothing like attending one of his shows. You can just feel the love he has for what he does and his fans. He leaves it all on the stage, every single time. While it is hard for me to pick a favorite I would have to say my favorite live performance is from 2004 "You'll Think Of Me". It has to be the live version though. Just an amazing performance and you can just see and feel the emotion. What a fantastic comment Lori and one I couldn't agree more with. Think I'll go give your favorite a listen now. Peace and love

Keith Urban,! Keith and John did CMT’s Crossroads...much better clips than this collaboration. Keith is the best! Mad guitarist! Been playing since the age of 6. I admire his morals, family man to the bone, he writes Nicole (Kidman) a love letter every day. Wrote many of the best love songs in Country history! “making memories of us”. Keith sang this to Nic at their wedding. Also, his song The Fighter ft. Carrie Underwood was for Nic and her struggles she had in her marriage with Tom Cruise. In closing, when the Weinstein thing hit...Keith surprised us all...in a matter of days, he performed FEMALE live at an award show...very powerful song. He said as a lover of women, he could not be silent.

One of the lesser Beatles songs IMO so I didn't care about this version one way or the other. But I'd like to recommend Kate Bush's Babooshka. It was a big hit in the UK around 1980 and I'm sure you've never heard anything quite like it. It's dramatic, melodic, surprising and at times sexy. Its story too is entertaining. Please give this one a try.

In this performance he had vocal surgery done like a year before since they were really messed up. So he lost a lot of notes and can't go as high in pitch anymore. But if you check his older songs he has a lot of "inflection"

The genius part of this video is the awesome blues, talking guitars towards the end of this long winded old Beatles song. Not sure why Mayer and Urban picked this tune to attach an otherwise amazing guitar “conversation” ala BB and Albert King
@JanetLynnJJ5 жыл бұрын
When I watched the entire Crossroads video on KZbin of their session together... They had talked about their love of the bluesy guitar talking... .. Assuming it was a result of that and Mayer talking about SRV ... With Keith, and how Keith made note of John's bluesy and amazing Solo adlibs in his songs, that are often times the highlight of the entire song (no matter if it's an original of his, or a cover)... And how each performance John does of Even his own songs, how he changes them up on the spot each time to add an original, "that night", fresh feel to the song. ❤️ another great comment! Thanks!

Hi not sure where to send requests but I have 4 for The Man 😊. All are female singers TLC Dear Lie which wasn't heard much on radio back in the day but it's an awesome song. Britney Spears Everytime shows alot of what goes on behind the scenes for alot of celebrities. Dixie Chicks You Were Mine and then Kelly Clarkson's Piece by Piece there are 2 versions the official video and then the live version on American Idol. Both r great but the Idol version I believe is the best! I had my dad and mom watch it and had them both n tears. Thank you bunches you are the best and love what you do!

I have both of those songs in my playlists... Dear Lie, the premise is incredibly accurate...
