Hey Carl, it still does my head in how inhumanly fast you learn, transcribe, film, edit and upload these fantastic lessons. Whilst also running your Academy! And as one of its students you always answer my questions within hours. It doesn’t get any better than this. Thanks again for all you do.

John Mayer bringing in a Soldano for 80s Clapton tone. The keyboards in that song remind me of 80s Steve WInwood. Rig Doctor did a good video on getting 80s Clapton tone. Great to hear that sound back. Hope Clapton brings back some 80s stuff on stage.

Another great lesson, also the phrase hit it and quit it has been around, but it is used more in the hip hop / RAP Community, I know you do not take requests, but I would like to mention a few songs and perhaps one day you will hear them and say to yourself this would make a great lesson, Sisters by Steve Vai, Riviera Paradise by Stevie Ray Vaughan, quicksand Jesus by Skid Row, I used to request Wasted Time by Skid Row, but you need a double-neck guitar for that one, you may have one, but I know I do not, and probably the majority of the subscribers do not as well, I love you brother, may your days bring you much truth beauty and goodness.

@trendkill33333 жыл бұрын
Even if he does a lesson that picking pattern will have to be practiced heavily. The chords are relatively easy, it’s the picking technique he uses that makes it so hard to get down
@jimjohnson3573 жыл бұрын
@@trendkill3333 It is a tricky one to get down, but it really helps to break it into 4 little chunks, and then treat your fingers like a little drum. I'm sure you know the rhythm and already have it, so hopefully you can figure out what I mean! For me, the hard bit was (and still is) getting that 4th chord which John plays using his thumb on the low E 10th fret. My hand simply is not big enough to do it. So I'm trying to do it using pinky, ring, third, and index, but I'm still too slow getting to it from the previous chord. Definitely a really fun one to do, and the picking hand pattern I found addictive. I find myself doing the thumb-index finger drum roll on tables or against my leg or against the knuckles on my left hand whenever I'm sitting around without a guitar.

Just a thought... Why do all guitar tutorials show you the face of the neck from someone else's perspective? Why not attach a go pro to your forehead or just place a camera above you facing down, so we can see the guitarists perspective?
@GuitarLessons365SongLessons3 жыл бұрын
Because it is much better to learn from an observers perspective if you ever want to learn by watching other players.. unless you can get your favorite players to let you sit on their shoulders during the concert… otherwise, you need to be able to get used to learning and watching from an observers perspective
