I woke up to pee one morning and saw John was on Periscope and hopped on just in time to catch this. So then I found myself sitting on my sofa sobbing at 3am with everyone else that witnessed this. I come look for it to have a listen when I need to feel it again. What a treat.

John is like a deep hole in the ground, that once you fall into, there's no getting out of it. I've been listening to John every day for the past 2 and a half years. Every single day. All day. He inspired me to play guitar. I started playing just after I started listening to him, and I'm already getting nearly as good as my friends who've been playing for almost 10 years, and I'm still eager to learn anything I can. John is a blessing.

I had been playing for 2 and a half years when I first really discovered John. That’ was 3 years ago and since then I’ve built a relationship with him and his music similar to yours. He is and will forever be my favourite artist. I can only sporadically listen to other artists. His music has a magnetic pull on me. He delivers everything I could ever want from a musician. His music keeps challenging and exciting me, his words keep inspiring me and I will never stop learning new things from his playing. Listening to John will make you a better musician and maybe even a better person.

I may miss the true reason completely, but playing live is much harder than at home imo :) arguably his experience could counter this, but it still allows him to sing less loud I guess
@cameronbennett81516 жыл бұрын
He seems like he's a bit high, so maybe when he's chilled out, he just sings better. Also, on stage he's moving around more, so breath control can be harder.

Yeah playing stadiums I imagine one has to rely on their earpiece and hope things aren’t delayed plus you’re hearing all the monitors and bounce and crowd etc. it’s not so direct as at home, you kinda gotta just spit it out and go without having to hear much of yourself. Also he’s just jammin and probably ranging less than he would in a big performance or something. Idk...just guesses

Everytime i watch a youtube video weather its one persons cover or another persons cover ranging from justin beiber to a good guitar player i allways hear, "this is the best version, or this is the best guitar player" and im always like smmhhhh yea yea what ever, but this dude john is really the real deal. Everyone has different tastes, some really lousy to me but i guess thats what make people unique but anyway im just glad i like this guys taste in music and playing, hes the best alive at this moment imo, along side with clapton, and to me srv was the greatest. Im glad jm was influenced by him and mixed it in with his pop stuff and other cool soundin styles with lots of feeling and with that incredible free flowing phrasing and creamy smooth tone, he can play different all the time just like srv was able to do. Dont wanna leave other great guitar players out there out but jm has some magic goin on with his guitar playing, glad to be alive in his era and if people dont like him now i bet they will when hes gone. so people should appreciate the music hes influencing the newer generations of guitar players and hopefully we will get more great guitar players with his influence mixed in with there own styles. i see many up and comming great youtube guitar players and its crazy because i dont see to many of them in real life or at open mics that i go to, but than when i get on youtube and look up covers im like damn, where are these dudes hiding at, even 15yr olds and younger kids are playing amazing.
