Serious question: Aren't taxes supposed to be used to fund public infrastructure such as roads, education, health services, police, the fire brigade, defence, etc, and all the associated maintenance work? If everyone was to use crypto, how would all that be funded?

Taxes is suppose to help what community you live in. the problem me and other billion folks have with taxes is that career politicians take and use our tax dollars for wrongful use. They send out irs if you don't pay taxes but they're just mad they didn't get the piece of your pie. The government wants tour money you earned for free.

if we were still using gold or any other commodity as money i would agree, but fiat is created by the gov and has to be destroyed by the gov, now imnt gonna make any excuses for fiat, its shit, but it is the money we use, and that means we, as users, need part of that money to be destroyed in order for the remaining part to keep its value. that is the only reason you pay taxes in a fiat economy. the day the gov doesnt know how much you have is the day you wont care how much you have either because hyper inflation will make it irrelevant.

Regardless of the libertarian views some people have... I don't think crypto will prevent taxation. Business and people will still have to report income taxes, and transactions/purchases will need to be reported as usual. What crypto does take away from government is their ability to print money at will, and that is a good think in my opinion.
