So many memories of you singing this song in concert and the audience joining in on the chorus. I used to look out over the ocean and think of my Grandmother many years ago when I was young and she had passed. I substituted my Grandma for Bonnie. I was 12 and bereft at her loss. I guess I thought singing the words or even thinking of them might bring her back. I was soooo young and all things were possible in my heart. Age brings reality but still, the song is a bittersweet memory and your voice soothes the hurting heart. Thank you. GB.

When I want to feel close to my grandma, I look up your music. She would sing these songs in the most beautiful voice and accent, and your covers are the only ones that actually feel and sound right to me. Everyone else sounds like they're just singing a song because they can sing, but you sing this song like it's in your bones. You sing it for it's own sake. Just like my grandma.

Maybe one of the most well known songs. Every time I listen to it, I love it still more. Your voice John is so particularly beautiful and hearttouching: soft, tender, hopeful, reflective.
