Swheadon well trickle down reaganomics has been a failure. Capitalism in its current form has let down society. march of privatisation driven by conservative mps directly linked to contracts in our nhs and education ie academies school meals etc. if this was anywhere else we would be calling it corruption. there is nothing in what was said here that would prevent individuals from doing just as you described. we just need corporate and individuals to act responsibly and share the burden instead of using austerity as an excuse to rake in profits conning hard working tax payers in the process.

+Righteous King No, he's got it perfectly right. Rich people don't hoard money in some massive bank account. They invest their money in efforts to become richer. @miananor43047 жыл бұрын
PMQs is hardly a debate. The opposition asks questions which is always responded to by pre-rehearsed rhetoric normally always including the words "strong and stable" repeated in every answer. If the question is dodged or not, that's it, the speaker has to move on to the next MP. Hearing perspectives from each party leader and more importantly, being directly questioned by audience members would lets us see who can actually think and articulate on the spot.
@miananor43047 жыл бұрын
How is it the same? The leader of the oppositions gets 5 questions to ask and that's it. He has maybe a few seconds to counter argue but then the rules are that he must press on. All of the political and economic troubles in the UK and criticism of the current UK government... condensed to 5 questions every week. Each leader does not have their party MPs supporting them from a few meters behind or have the ability to heckle the opposition: it will be members of the public.They will be reacting in real time to every word that comes from these leaders mouths and will be able to directly engage in this debate. They are having election Questiontime which is a good idea (the leaders aren't appearing together at the same time though), but if May is so confident that Corbyn is unelectable then why will she not debate him?

I have seen so many people turn out to be living a complete lie it is unbelievable. Sadly the media is where we get most of our information. It is no good saying don't trust the media there is usually some truth in it somewhere the same as when all politicians talk. The basic problem with Labour is they follow the heart and not the mind. Don't get me wrong Labour has done some good things, the minimum wage for example, and the smoking ban, (which was a free vote). Finally I am mature enough not to call anyone an idiot or anything else just because they have a different view to me. Our views are controlled by our life experiences which are out of our control that is why we all have different views.

John McDonnell is a sterling bloke - absolutely love him! But I don't agree with him that Marx was necessarily wrong on Capitalism's crash: it DID crash, in 2008, and it was ONLY government bailouts that saved the whole system from collapsing. Of course, there is a slight chance it wouldn't have, but I haven't heard one economist say they think so! Capitalism has done exactly what Marx predicted: put such downward pressure on wages that the masses can't afford to buy what is being produced, and economic activity has stagnated for the vast majority. If it weren't for the welfare state, we would be in an even worse place economically!
