+Bethany Hunt -- Marx is required reading for all classes -- people throw words around like 'commie, Marxist, red' without having the faintest idea of what they are saying 😏 So I say 'READ Karl Marx -- words of more than one syllable? no problem, there's an audio version of 'Kapital' right here on Utube! BTW -- while he worked on his Magnum Opus, he was living in Manchester, so he could work in the Public Library -- the first in the UK! 🌹

Swheadon well trickle down reaganomics has been a failure. Capitalism in its current form has let down society. march of privatisation driven by conservative mps directly linked to contracts in our nhs and education ie academies school meals etc. if this was anywhere else we would be calling it corruption. there is nothing in what was said here that would prevent individuals from doing just as you described. we just need corporate and individuals to act responsibly and share the burden instead of using austerity as an excuse to rake in profits conning hard working tax payers in the process.

+Righteous King No, he's got it perfectly right. Rich people don't hoard money in some massive bank account. They invest their money in efforts to become richer. They take risks with their money that poorer people and governments won't. This boosts the economy. Read up on the circular flow of income. That aside, there does need to be some redistribution of wealth.

funny thing though if you remember it was a type of socialism that got us out of the mess of global recession of 2008 (bank bailouts ie Nothern Rock etc..). problem is socialism only seems to be ok at corporate class level. in the meantime public services suffer and low income hard working families forced to use food banks. If we are supposed to be "in it together" shouldn't it be the less well off and the vulnerable to have a turn at reaping from whatever "Green shoots" might be going? Shouldnt it be high time the burden on them be lifted and time for these Despotic Hypocrites to take up a bit of the slack?

@miananor4304
@miananor4304 7 жыл бұрын
PMQs is hardly a debate. The opposition asks questions which is always responded to by pre-rehearsed rhetoric normally always including the words "strong and stable" repeated in every answer. If the question is dodged or not, that's it, the speaker has to move on to the next MP. Hearing perspectives from each party leader and more importantly, being directly questioned by audience members would lets us see who can actually think and articulate on the spot.
@miananor4304
@miananor4304 7 жыл бұрын
How is it the same? The leader of the oppositions gets 5 questions to ask and that's it. He has maybe a few seconds to counter argue but then the rules are that he must press on. All of the political and economic troubles in the UK and criticism of the current UK government... condensed to 5 questions every week. Each leader does not have their party MPs supporting them from a few meters behind or have the ability to heckle the opposition: it will be members of the public.They will be reacting in real time to every word that comes from these leaders mouths and will be able to directly engage in this debate. They are having election Questiontime which is a good idea (the leaders aren't appearing together at the same time though), but if May is so confident that Corbyn is unelectable then why will she not debate him?

The results of the local elections were bad but Labour still hold the highest number of seats after Conservatives. Conservatives also only won by narrow margins meaning there's a significant of number of voters that support Labour under Jeremy Corbyn. Hence why Theresa May isn't celebrating. She's also hiding her association with the Conservative Party because they have such a bad record. #JeremyCorbynWasRight #ImVotingLabour 🌹#GeneralElection2017

No politician refuses an opportunity they are confident they are capable of winning. If Theresa May doesn't debate, it means she is not confident her policies will appeal when viewed alongside Corbyn's in a fair public debate. She says she has strong and stable leadership, but maybe fears appearing weak and unstable in a democratic debate. Weak and afraid, she keeps ranting about "strong and stable leadership". The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

Why haven't you asked him about the policies in a way that does not sound like you are just trying to trip him up? Try and listen more, and ask more genuine questions that are of interest of all people, and stop insults, you are not 12 anymore. And what exactly is wrong with Marx and Socialism? Have you actually ever read about it? What is it that you like about torries exactly? What is there to like? Why are you scared of socialism, when socialism is pro equalit and pro caring? You are just scaremongering, and its not acceptable. I want a real strong and stable leader, and there is only one who will be there for people: JC4PM!

Giving priority to those who wanted to save the most money (such as for passing assessments rather than paying for assessment tutors) motivates even high-income families to develop themselves in a time/cost/effort-efficient way. When there are more opportunities to "instructor assist" a class (that students already have credit for), people literally recognize that tutors "is the new" cashiering.

John McDonnell is a sterling bloke - absolutely love him! But I don't agree with him that Marx was necessarily wrong on Capitalism's crash: it DID crash, in 2008, and it was ONLY government bailouts that saved the whole system from collapsing. Of course, there is a slight chance it wouldn't have, but I haven't heard one economist say they think so! Capitalism has done exactly what Marx predicted: put such downward pressure on wages that the masses can't afford to buy what is being produced, and economic activity has stagnated for the vast majority. If it weren't for the welfare state, we would be in an even worse place economically!

Why do you think we have austerity, because Labour went hand in hand with the bankers and the mess still needs clearing up. Under the leftist labour party we'll finish up worse than Greece . Corbyn will promise you the Moon and tell you it's made of green cheese and were all going to get a slice !! At this point in history Labour are an embarrassment and a total disgrace to the working classes from which I am a part of . I want Labour to be in power too; but not this hopeless back stabbing, inept, incompetent circus that represents a once great Socialist Party... Wake up !!!!! Mr Phillip Chancellor of the Exchequer , I don't think...

Why is that is it because you believe everything the media tells you haha big corporations like the bbc have an agenda why would they like someone who is against them there not going to say they like the guy when he's threatening to raise tax on the rich you complete idiot

No I don't believe what any one tells me I try to make up my own mind. I was taking an interest in politics and every thing else probably before you were born. I have seen so many people turn out to be living a complete lie it is unbelievable. Sadly the media is where we get most of our information. It is no good saying don't trust the media there is usually some truth in it somewhere the same as when all politicians talk. The basic problem with Labour is they follow the heart and not the mind. Don't get me wrong Labour has done some good things, the minimum wage for example, and the smoking ban, (which was a free vote). Finally I am mature enough not to call anyone an idiot or anything else just because they have a different view to me. Our views are controlled by our life experiences which are out of our control that is why we all have different views.

How are Labor going to stay in "Single Market"? Originally named the "Common Market", it is what became the EU. It includes freedom of immigration for anybody given EU citizenship, European Court. *Oh, & Corbyn to agree blank cheque principal that European Court will decide an Exit fee for UK to pay sufficient billions that EU will be no worse off without UK for foreseeable future?*

Jeremy Lodder Bad news only for the greedy like Phillip Green and Murdoch. A Labour Government under Jeremy Corbyn is good news for working and middle class workers, small businesses, teachers, students, doctors, nurses, patients, disabled people, pensioners and young adults. #ImVotingLabour 🌹 #JC4PM Theresa May will abolish workers' rights to please her Tory donors.

James Kilpatrick #ImVotingLabour. 'Theresa's Candidates' only won by very slim margins. Clearly there's a significant number of people that are fed up of Conservatives and Theresa May's excuses, austerity and lies about how every is so great. Only the rich have benefitted this austerity that's lost teachers and doctors their jobs and disabled people their dignity and their lives. This party has been in government for seven years and all that's come of it is economic and political instability. Theresa May has been PM for a year and her biggest 'achievement' is the #RapeClause. I will not be voting for that despicable woman. I will be voting for a change for the better. #ImVotingLabour #JC4PM
