Say what you will about John and Yoko, but if he would have stayed with Cynthia, he wouldn’t have been murdered in 1980. He may even be alive today. Does that count for anything, was it worth it?

Since John's death Yoko has become 1/4 vote for all Beatles related ventures. It was obvious when Peter Jackson released the GET BACK movie Yoko had vetoed scenes which made her look bad. I've never seen anyone so hell bent at causing disruption like this woman. Her bleating during John's live performances left people angry and confused as to what this "artistic" statement was meant to mean. In the end her behavior towards John's family and the other Beatles shed a lot of light on the type of person she was.

It was obvious to conspiracy nuts. Peter Jackson didn’t leave anything out to make her look better. You just assumed because you bought into the dragon lady narrative, that she was a constant disruptor and the movie illustrates that she was clearly not. Linda Eastman and her gossipy ways is far more disruptive. Nobody ever talks about Linda. A single mother, rich girl, groupie “photographer” who went around social circles sleeping around with rock stars (Jimi Hendrix, Mick Jagger, Jim Morrison, Keith Moon…) and Hollywood actors (Warren Beatty, Dennis Hopper, Jack Nicholson…) looking to bag a famous rich guy. Which she eventually did by doing exactly what Yoko did. Pursue. Let’s remember that Paul was in a long term relationship with Jane Asher and also having an affair with a writer, Francie Schwartz, when Linda saw Paul and went to get his attention. Nobody bats an eye about that. Oh, but Yoko is the lunatic dragon lady, right?
