That's Lisa Germano on violin! The last time she played with John was Dance Naked! She's on the album but not the tour although she did appear with him 1995 at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame when they opened up that tour. Ever since she left playing with John Mellencamp, she started a solo career making great albums with great songs which you can listen to her singing with violin I think guitar but I don't know about that (if she plays guitar). This video was shot live at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis December of 1987. The little girl is Johns daughter. The video for "Check it out" was made the next night at the same venue. I attended that show,it was Mellencamp at his peak. That lil girl is all grown up now,and married.

I saw him last April, 2019. I had to leave during the first song. I had my autistic son with me and it was too much for him. Back in Christmas of 91 we were watching an episode of Rossannnnn as this song played in the background. In our 50 foot trailer this was a luxury. 9 women with cigarettes came to visit my father. Roller World in Wharton NJ had a Christmas skate. All of the skate teams were there including me and my skate team. Little did we know my boss from Chevrolet showed up with his family. His family came to see us skate. The owner had a buffet and the works. Everyone was having a KILLER time!!! and BLOWING UP the skate floor!!!! Later he had a skate contest with Christmas music as the theme!!!! The DJ played Christmas for everyone competing!!! My Friend's team the Knight Riders skated to Step into Christmas by Elton John and ROCKED the rink!!! I went up to the DJ booth and requested this song. The DJ said to me, " I know what is COMING"!!!! My Boss and his family competed and were Impressive!! The Captain of the Knight Riders came up to us and said, " Think YOU GUYS can BEAT us"!!! Then the DJ played this song and My girls and I LOST our MINDS!!! and went Into a RAGE!!!!!! I said "TOMCAT on 3"!!! 1,2,3, "TOMCAT"!! we all went out on the floor and I SCREAMED "DETONATE"!!!! Then we "DESTROYED"!!! the skate floor!!! Everyone was SCREAMING and FREAKING OUT!!!! "ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE"!!!! We used the "AERIAL WARS", " the "CANNON"!! and the "TOMCAT"!!!! I then SCREAMED "LEVEL the BUILDING"!!! "NO PRISONER"!!! WE proceeded bringing Roller World to it's KNEES!!!! When we got done the OWNER said, " That was one HELL of a Christmas PRESENT"!!! My Boss and his family had tears in his eyes and told me, " I taped you and your team DESTROY!!! this rink!!! The Owner taped us as well!!! The Owner told the Knight Riders, "The SUPERBIRDS" would make short work of you or any other team here!!!! The Owner then gave all the skate teams Custom Rink Jackets as Christmas gifts!! My Boss gave me and my team Custom Jackets of my Race Cube!!! I gave him and His Family Custom Jackets of our skate team the "SUPERBIRDS"!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰💞💞💋💋💋❤❤❤❣❣❣🌩🌩🌩⚡⚡⚡🌀🌀🌀🔥🔥🔥
