I would totally pay for that. Omg it may be the only podcast I want more than “Troy and Abed in the Morning” Honestly it’s a tie, Danny Pudi and Donald Glover vs John Oliver and Russel Howard. That’s a really hard choice of which one I’d want to wish into existence. Hmmmm 🤔

My mother never forgot, as a child in Great Depression, being given a whole hand of bananas, so understood when I wanted a whole roast chicken (the way she roasted them) to myself. I don't think you can do what he's doing in the UK. First off, you need a massive budget noone in the UK would be willing to spend. Secondly, the world isn't really interested as much in the systemic issues of the UK, so he'd shrink a potentially world-wide audience to just a UK audience. The way it is now, the non-sucking half of the US watches his show and the world watches it because we love making fun of how messed up the USA are. Of course, the premise here is that he'd do what he does now - which is clearly what he's best at.

Watch Ben Elton if you want the real deal. This John oliver is just a cheap ass copy cat. I grew up watching Ben Elton. Im sure some of his content should be on YT but it was in the 80's i watched him. Even the real Ben Elton has called him a mini me but without the talent.
@iluvdissheet

@@tablet_1233 as an American, I have no clue who Ben Elton is so, thanks. Since he is here on YT, I'll check out his stuff but are you suggesting Oliver "stole" his concept? Just curious before i watch since you called him a copycat.

@@tablet_1233 Wow! What that tells me is that you don't really know the full work of either Ben Elton or John Oliver. Very shallow, limited comparison.
