Just noticed for the first time that John Oliver had a 1st cavalry division pin. Upon a little research, I found out that his wife was a combat medic within the division, for which he shows admiration and support by wearing that pin - for anyone who, like me, didn't know this and was curious.

It's part of our plan to destabilise and destroy the world (again). We're everywhere: China, South America, Africa, the Middle East, Japan, the US, Canada, Eire, Australia, India, Grimethorpe, Russia... Oh yes. Divide and rule. Slowly. Give it 900 years or so. The world is doomed (again). Now, would you like a nice cup of tea? It's tax-free and jolly refreshing with a Hobnob or two.

With the amount of scandals I had to wreck my brain about it and as far as I know, this had no consequences whatsoever. It's like the Last Week Tonight segment titled "Scandals", where they just made one up, I stopped the video and started to research it, because I thought it was real and I'd just forgotten about it. Pretty telling that with the frequency of them coming, we've all turned into scandal-goldfish.

You live in a weird world if you think anything the media reported on since January has any truth to it. They are just reporting on it since it makes good ratings. If Trump did anything wrong he would be impeached faster than he can hit the red button for a coke. If there is a fundamental truth, it's that the establishment wants Pence as President instead of Trump.
@faithev84157 жыл бұрын
Kevin Smith, I can see why you might assume the Republicans in Congress want Pence instead of Trump, but you're wrong. As long as Trump isn't making things worse for the Republicans, he's the one they want to keep around - not Pence. Why? Because Trump is bringing voters to the Republican party that will not support said party without Trump's presence. It's that simple. You have to consider how the Republicans in Congress believed they were going to get hammered during the 2016 election - and mostly because, they believed, of Trump's nonsense. Instead, Trump brought the Republican's a legion of ill-informed, uneducated voters who turned defeat into a huge victory. If this was Obama or Clinton in the White House, the Republican's would have moved to impeach either of them dozens of times by now. But not Trump - because they're so desperate to hold onto his followers and use them to remain in power that they're willing to sell out the country to do it. For them, it's politics over patriotism. The moment Trump begins to become a real liability for the Republicans in Congress, they will suddenly take issue with his behavior and fall back on Pence to push their agenda. But not before then. One last thing - if you honestly don't believe the media has reported anything with truth to it since January, then you really must be one of those ill-informed and uneducated voters I referred to earlier.

She ain't in the White House, jackass. You don't have to be a liberal to realize that this is just a shitshow. The integrity & security of our government may already be compromised, and you're just trying to make a scapegoat out of Hillary because of that scandal that didn't end with her confinement. You need some catching up on the KGB & the Cold War.

So this is the new thing now...huh? Every video comment section has to have that one comment that states, "I'm a simple man, I see [fill in the blank], I hit 'like.'" Wonderful. I was scared we'd run out of internet cliches. After all, hardly anyone types "First!" anymore.

Omg, I use this phrase, too! :D Although to make it a bit more sarcastic, I say: I am a simple neomarxist girl, I see John Oliver and press like. (neomarxist is a slur used by the conservative opposition in my country, probably something like libtard in the US)

5:08-5:30--John summed up the state of our nation perfectly, and that summary is terrifying. With every passing day, I'm starting to think we're in the 21st century "Let them eat cake" era. The Trump family and administration and the rest of the American aristocracy have completely disconnected their minds and senses of empathy from what is reality for everyone else. Worse yet, because of their wealth, they view themselves as above that reality and above its laws. And all you have to do is look to history to see what happens when the nobles get too big for their britches.
@TheaterRaven7 жыл бұрын
He knew as much as he needed to know in order to play off of what they want. In other words, he's a liar who only said what he needed to say to win, but that doesn't mean he actually understands or cares about the lives of us commoners.
