Oh my! I have not heard JPJ sing before...not solo, anyway. Now I'm more in love with his talent than ever before. What an amazing artist.

Jonesy rules! Deep, highly gifted as both musician and instrumentalist. What an amazing surprise he sings with such poetry and taste. A giant, like very few others at his level: the reason why Led Zep are another planet.

Yes...I saw Zep in Detroit in 77 and Robert was laughing at JOne's everytime he sang Sandy Denny's part. It was way off. He definitely has improved as a singer. I just love his mandolin playing though. On this and going to California it is phenomenal. Page isn't too bad on Battle of Evermore either!!!!

Wow, I didn't know John Paul Jones, or even Jimmy Page, had such great singing voices. It's almost sad that neither of them stepped up to the mic much, not even to sing background vocals. Robert Plant has a great voice, but he couldn't do every vocal part on stage!

His voice is absolutely lovely ! I'm still kind of a noob in Led Zep lore, so I hope I don't offend anyone with the question, but was there any point in which JPJ sang on either a Zeppelin album or one of his own?

Nope, he just sang in "your time is gonna come" (first album) with the other band members. In 1977 he sang in a live a song but i don't remember what song, maybe the battle of evermore? I dont know honestly

Lets be very honest here folks.Jp is a great musician and very important in Led Zepp but he is NO singer. With somebody like R.Plant in the band there could be no argument as to who should sing.I did hear Jp accompany Robert P in THE BATTLE OF EVERMORE and it was pretty dire to say the least.JP is great with what he does.💚🤟

he sings on a few tracks on his solo album, the thundertheif! and otherwise on legitimate recorded things there's only a few other random songs he's done out there with his vocals on them, and on zep tracks i think it's only a couple of songs he sings harmonies :) but you can hear his voice super clearly on his solo music i really love it!!!

@@johnmccann8319 nobody's arguing that he should sing over Robert LOL you'd be crazy to think that but he's not a bad vocalist at all, he can clearly hold his own and you can see that just by watching this video
