This is criminally under-viewed and underappreciated

Thanks for the kind words! As much as it is a giant pain, I would start learning music theory. I cannot overstate how much it helps with this instrument. Being able to read music, and identify keys, scales, and intervals is incredibly useful and makes the process of both learning and playing songs SO much easier. I usually recommend www.musictheory.net as the best place to start, as it's pretty comprehensive, and free. I'm also planning on posting a couple of videos about practice techniques on this channel, so keep an eye out for those.

Awesome! Question, how does you Bongo 6 feel in terms of action? Just got mine and it is a bit too high to play effortless.
@KeithLewisMusic6 жыл бұрын
Action is a totally adjustable thing. If you want it lower, you can use an allen wrench to lower the saddles. I used to keep the action very low, but as I started to play with it more, I found that I liked the string tension that came with higher action. It's totally a personal thing. Just lower the saddles gradually until it feels comfortable and sounds good. If you need more specific advice, just let me know. Cheers!
