A magnificent message from a superb scholar. His Bible commentaries are worth their weight in gold, for theirs are the treasures of the promise of heaven. We are transported to a more realistic vision of the great God of Jacob, and of those who know Him as our own Saviour. Here are his patriarchal sons, in their greatness and their grotesque failures. We see ourselves in that room. Their performance in the family determined their position in the kingdom. The future judgment of God's own elect at the bema seat in heaven are echoed throughout. God, help us to live noble lives.
