Those summary questions right at the end in overtime hit me right in the heart. As I've often wondered why I've been tolerated as a substance abuser it all became clear. Apart from the fact I'm a rebellious piece of 💩, the Lord has been teaching me via the long road, that my existence is totally dependent on Him for the glory of His grace and not because I have a 'special' relationship (my pride based conclusion). Praise be for the glory of His grace in Christ Jesus 'the' Lord. And, even though I'm most likely still off, I know I am God's and He is mine, and He'll sort it.

Sometimes I have a plan in mind which is not God's plan. I can lay out my whole plan before Him but it simply isn't His better plan. My family has gone through some most terrible, painful things in the past 3 years and it has been difficult to see how such pain and sorrow can be "His plan". I know He knows all about it and that these things have not taken him by surprize. Your sermons have helped us all to look to our Savior and God for our help. Thank you.

Love how he always breaks things down for better understanding... questions we might have but too embarassed or even possibly ashamed to admit we have cuz we as christians often think we must have all the answers but this sermon offers encouragement to realize we don't need to have all the answers...stop carrying a burden not intended for us to carry and rest in the joy of knowing that the Holy Spirit HELPS us in our weaknesses. AMEN😇 God Bless you John Piper

Thank You. Lord. So encouraged. Thank You for Your faithfulness. The Job, Joseph, and Paul's experiences in my life: My calamities, persecutions, torture, and agony, etc... has and continues to be very physically painful, but, I thank You that soon my body will be healed either while I'm on earth or in heaven; may You help me to stay faithful and keep seeking you, forever, be glorified in my body.

I'm lovin these videos. Hope someone can help. Q. Jesus showed us how to pray the Lords prayer, this seem to be a one way prayer straight to our Father in Heaven and is a prayer that is 'asking of' the Father. Or is it, when we say the Lords prayer, that is it first received/intercepted by the Holy Spirit then transmitted to the Father? Q. Is it only when we don't know how to pray as we ought (in order to bring glory to the Son) and we become weakened because of this and our prayers become 'groaning's', that the Holy Spirit communes with the Father on our behalf? (not so much pity me groaning's) I understand that the Holy Spirit lives us so as to prompt us in situations we find ourselves in, empower us in situations, bring peace to us through our reading and remembrance of Gods Word and will help us to bring God's Word to others and much more but of course but ultimately to bring Glory to the Father through the Son and our faith and trust in the word.. Love God. Steve

I Love John Piper however I agree with the bible interpretation that Father's will is that everyone be healthy and strong. Paul's thorn may have been an emotional or mental thorn.
