I met John Pizzarelli on the NYC subway once, and I told him how much I enjoyed his music. We spent the next half hour or so talking about music. He's a great musician and a nice guy, too.

I met him at Jazz Alley in Seattle. He was gracious. He's also a friend of Rebecca Kilgore (as am I) who has recorded several albums with the Pizzarelli family. Even a country one, as the West Texas Tumbleweeds. She loves all of them.

John and his father Bucky are pure musical joy. RIP Bucky. John proudly continues to carry on your musical genius with his own inspirational and unique genius.❤

Traslate:Trip from Chile to NY USA, with my wife and eldest son in 2017. At the corner of the Jazz of the world Birland Club, John Pizzarrelli amazed us with his presentation of his show with the music of Paul McCartney. Grant is a performer and guitarist, a display of talent and sympathy.

JP is still one of the greatest. Saw and heard him playing live once in a small pub in Maastricht the Netherlands for an audience of about 30 people but his spirit was the same as now about 35 years later. Hope to see him again somewhere 👏👏👏👏👏

Somehow, someone allowed Mike to turn up the volume on the bass, and he is absolutely wonderful. Normally, he’s very much in the background, and I have to strain to hear him. Please let him shine!!!🌞🌞🌞

Been a JP fan for a long time. At Catalinas I got a chance not to play but check out his guitar and he gave me one of the picks he had in his pocket. His band and brother Martin were so Awesome and Kind. Anyway big big fan. Great video and performance - John you are one of a kind. May you continue to play and dazzle audiences worldwide. BRAVO !!!!

Please answer an ignorant question: What is he doing with his left foot as he plays?

He's just feeling the music tempo. Just like when you tap your hand on the car door when your window is open and playing loud music just loving the moment.

As much as I appreciate the bass player - I miss the tone and feel of Martin Pizzarelli. It defines / defined the sound of johns music-making a lot.

It’s cool when he sings during a solo performance but he’s not a good singer to be in a band. Stick to the chords dude.
