John Prine is an American Treasure. So sorry he has not received more recognition. He touches on just about every subject & touches everyone's heart In one way or another, I could listen to him round the clock. Hope I get a chance to see him live before He Or I Pass. Thanks John for touching my life. (12-22-2019) / Harold Lee

I was introduced to his music circa 1980. Saw him a couple of time live. The 1st time (circa 1990) he led in an Arlo Guthry concert but I went to see john. Told my wife that he was not a headliner so we'd probably get choice seats early. THE PLACE was packed and everyone knew the lyrics to everyone of his songs. He was more popular than I ever realized. His music will live with us all till we exit the arena of life.

John was in the groove on Fair and Square. One of the best albums of the millennium and arguably the best in the ouvre of the Mayberry Mailman, and we're talking one helluva back catalogue through the Tree of Forgiveness, when Prine got to heaven.

sadly our souls are leaving, along with the disappearance of democracy and decency, but keep a lookout for the ones you love and your neighbor too.

@raf ganowicz Guess you didn't know John also had Trump Derangement Disorder. Here's his hateful woke comments about Trump in an Apr. 4, 2018 interview about his new album in The Guardian. “I tried to write something about Trump - one was called Dear Mr President, but I found myself going into a rant in the first verse. I think the real reason I didn’t write a song about him was that I secretly kept hoping he’d be gone before I could get into the studio.”

I'm going down to ride the merry-go-round in the middle of a bad storm I feel a little forlorn - Your man blows a mean horn I think my baby's stuck on a roller coaster looking for a sad song I'm trying to get her back on the track of the carousel of love. If I could only go back in time to at least last Tuesday Then there wouldn't be a blues day - or maybe April Fool's Day I'd buy her flowers and and I'd tell her tomorrow might be a better news day And take her hand and ride on the carousel of love If our love is gonna last then you know it's gonna have to go the long way There's a hundred million wrong ways - trying to find the strong way But if you'll take my hand I'll always be your man and go the right way Down the highway that leads to the carousel of love Down the highway that leads to the carousel of love
