Rip john teerlinck.. He's a great example of how a position coach can elevate a players game to blossom another level... it's not just talent, it's also pristine coaching. Those two working in unison create success

how come nobody talks about this guy. He's like warren sapp. What a great personality.

The 1st down sack statistic he threw out there is the craziest part to me. You knew watching film he wasn't a 3rd down pass rusher. But putting the numbers there gives it that much more context. He's a beast on any down.

To be noted, the Honorable Alan Page, fellow Viking DT is known to have 148.5 sacks through play-by-play film review. Unfortunate that sacks weren't officially recorded in his time

Second only to Mean Joe Greene. No other DT were true DTs. They always played a significant bit on the edge. But one day they'll probably both move down and Aaron Donald will take his place up there.

Me too. I’m a Seahawks fan since the 70’s and used to think how lucky the Vikes fans were to have this guy on their team. When he came to Seattle for the last few years of his career I was so damn happy.

Dude was unbelievably relentless! I love the Bears, but fuck man. He's my favorite player of sll time. He was a modern Deacon Jones. He deserved a Super Bowl, shame he didn't get it.

Football fun fact. After the Vikings coach Teerlink moved to Indy. I don't think it's a coincidence that he Coached Randle, Freeney and it now looks like Mathis will be in the Hall of Fame. It is crazy how similar Freeney and Randles play style was. Undersized but a non stop motor. RIP Coach Teerlink.

One of, if not the biggest, mistakes the Vikings ever made was passing on Warren sapp. A sapp and Randle combination is like having 2 Aaron Donald’s.
