you're welcome to watching for watching and I agree with Davies there should be a Dwarf Woman in the game dwarf woman who could fight and kick but. lol speaking of Dwarf Woman do you think Stoor Hobbits are related to Dwarves which would explain why they grow beards do you think that is true? also here is something Gimili said that did not make sense when he suggested to Gandalf in The Fellowship of the Ring to take the road to Moira saying that his Cousin Balin would give him a royal welcome what does not make sense is that Balin the same Balin who went with Bilbo and Gandalf and the rest of the dwarves to the Lonely Mountain In the Hobbit because Balin was old man Gimili was just a cute little boy as we saw him in that photo so how is Balin Gimili Cousin? also, John could play Gloin Gimili's father you know how parents resemble their kids either by appearance or personality or a bite of both did John Rhys Davies did not want to be in The Hobbit because he did not want to wear makeup which was very uncomfortable? also, I am writing a kid's book about the history of The Hobbits and I have you thanked for that because of how you told Gollum's back story in that one video you made about Gollum's past.

@@christophermaccool8029 Kids resemble their parents* (just a small correction). And speaking of Balin: they were 3rd cousins, meaning that Glóin was Balin's 2nd cousin.

I live in a small town in NZ about 30 minutes from where John Rhys-Davies lives while in-country. I remember about 5 years ago while working my shift at a small hardware shop, this living legend just walks in with a line trimmer needing some spare parts. My co-worker and I were absolutely gobsmacked that he was standing before us and did our best to help him. Sadly to no avail. John was an extremely humble man and seemed genuinely pleased that I recognized him. I simply said "It is an absolute pleasure to meet you Mr Davies (I was too starstruck to remember to put the Rhys in front!) and he smiled and said "You've got a good memory" and shook my hand. We had a brief chat and it was lovely. He never at any point acted like he was in a hurry to be elsewhere, he was completely courteous to us as retail workers and we had a genuinely pleasant conversation. I really wanted a photo with him but didn't wish to impose so simply gave him directions to some possible other shops in town where he might get his garden tool fixed and he went on his merry way. For a small town chap like me, that was one of my life's highlights.

John Rhys Davies is such a gentleman dwarf. His god given voice is resplendent in its depth and warmth of character. I’m sure JRR would have been only too happy for him to have given voice to Gimli. I feel blessed to have witnessed such times and had my experiences broadened. Thank you Matt for allowing this to happen. Great to see and hear from John Paul too getting an insight into the game.

I love that the game is expanding on what we know in such a great way. Not pretending grandiose events happened or creating new theatrics, focusing specifically on a small area is such a great way to scale things
@matthewmiller9485 Жыл бұрын
Exactly. Just think of D&D campaigns. It's rarely War of the Ring scope events. It's just 4-5 people facing at most a local threat affecting like a county sized area of the world, but enough passion and involvement can make those journeys as if not more memorable than the gigantic world-shattering events of a fantasy setting too. I feel there's a ton of great Fourth Age based stories in Middle Earth one could explore that would all be great games to play and experience.

JRD was so perfect as Gimli. Most underrated performance in the movie. He was so great in the role and so definitive in bringing a dwarf to life he set a bar few can reach. None of the dwarves in the Hobbit movies came close to him. It was painfully obvious when watching those films. Nobody can do it like he does.
