I got out 1 year prior to this commission ceremony. I remember getting my national defense medal when I was in enlisted bootcamp...back in '05. Multiple promotions later and now holding a bachelor degree I have other plans. Congratulations butter bars! Semper Fi, Sgt Lynch

actually Marine Officers can wear white slacks in the summer, but enlisted are only permitted to wear them on the Silent Drill Team or other ceremonious occasions.

I believe they only wear those in the summer and even then they're optional.

Officers and Staff NCO's can wear white trousers in the summertime with their dress blue alphas and bravos if the occasion calls for it.
