The Shaq/Kobe relationship was probably more frustrating than them not liking each other. There's an interview of Kobe (might be a Vlad interview) where he talks about when he was on his way to setting a consecutive game scoring record while Shaq was injured. And when Shaq came back, Phil Jackson called Kobe and told him we're starting to lose the big man. Meaning Shaq was starting to disengage in the flow of the game. And he asked Kobe to cut back on the scoring so Shaq would come back. So Kobe purposeful cut back and ended up one game short of the record. And Kobe also talked about his frustration with Shaq not being in shape in the beginning of the season because he knew that Kobe would be working out all off season and come in to camp in season shape.
