Watching "Boyz In Da Hood" as a kid, and knowing that he was the youngest AND first Black person to be nominated for Best director @ the Oscars inspired me to wanna be a writer. He's death also inspired (& scared) me into finally getting a well overdue physical exam. Found out that not only am i diabetic, but my BP was so high i was a walking stroke waiting to happen. Thank you Mr. Singleton. You changed (& saved) my life in ways you would never know. RIP!😢❤

I've never seen Snowfall the series. I remember reading how the rape scene John mentioned was offputting to fans of the show. His passing was sad. He had so much more to give.
