Yes, and that's very unique too. Whenever Don gets praised by almost anybody he's got a snap comeback to bring a roar of laughs. When Howard praises him however, no comeback, just a genuine thank you. The respect these two have for eachothers work is beautiful.

Don Rickles is a legend. Even Howard Stern, who is cocky, and in love with himself, looked up to him. R.I.P Mr. Rickles.
@MrTino12055 жыл бұрын
Howard is the biggest self loathing and least confident celebrity there is. His bluster is his armor used to hide his true self. It’s all he talks about and constantly discusses his therapy to improve his outlook and self esteem. Having said that Don Rickles is one of a kind and the best of a great generation. Nobody was funnier and more beloved. He would absolutely destroy the person he was speaking to or pick on the crowd and it only endeared him more to whoever was lucky enough to be chopped down and ridiculed by Mr Warmth himself. This Sinatra story is classic. Even Sinatra and his famous temper loved the gag because it was a total gem.

@nsaiswatching5 жыл бұрын
I read an article about this, and turns out there are some inconsistencies in their accounts. Rickles said it was in Vegas, but Sinatra said it was in New York. Also, Sinatra remembered Rickles saying "Can't you see I'm eating, Frank?", which would be more hilarious. But I choose to believe the story, because it's legendary.
