This semi-literate useless leader of DA forgets that more than 3.5 million people voted for EFF and MK than people who voted for DA. Therefore if ANC goes with DA it will be putting the dreams of millions of people who voted for the return of our land in the backseat. Hi John, I voted for your party. I would like to believe and trust my gut feel that you are a genuine concerned party and put SA first. I do believe however your shortcomings in 2024 was not reaching out to the rural voters but concentrated mostly on the Metros. You need to work hard over the next 5 years if this coalition does/doesn’t happen to get the trust of those citizens. I hope this coalition leading up to the next elections, doesn’t become a mud slinging affair to outwit each other instead of putting SA jointly with your “partner” first. You will be performing on a bigger scale being national if this does take off and it is important to keep focus. My 2cents worth as a patriotic SA citizen concerned. Good luck and I will pray for this lovely country of ours. God bless.

Government of National Unity is the best option for everyone... The DA-ANC Coalition will never succeed due to their diametrically opposed Policies & Ideologies!!! Remember, DA instructed Herman Mashaba not to spend on "Alexandra township" allegedly because they don't bring value to the Fiscal... DA equally instructed Herman to disconnect Electricity in Various Households in Soweto just because they couldn't afford, without giving them other options. All those Capitalism acts happened while Herman Mashaba was DA lead Johannesburg's Mayor. Finally, the manner in which DA had dealt with its own Black Leaders along the years proved to many of us that DA is a Racist Party.

@@sfisobuthelezi3054 that's highly inaccurate.... nobody is talking about the looting and stealing during the zuma years. Why do you think loadshedding got bad during cyrils time? Because Zuma and his gang was doing thr looting and stealing from eskom. If you have a car and don't do a proper service each time and run to failure and then repair what will happen? The reliability of the car will go down. Eskom is dying because of this negligence too. It's not ramaphosa,it's all Zuma and the Guptas. Capitalism has an interest in unemployment. If people are desperate for jobs, they are more exploitable and will work more for less. If you want people to have jobs your primary focus should be on providing jobs to them but most importantly meeting their basic needs such as healthcare, housing, food and education. This empowers people making them less exploitable and able to bargain a higher pay from the owner class. Edit: P.S. I'm not saying I agree with ANC's leadership, just skeptical about neoliberal capitalism saving us.

I believe it is simpler than we all think. A simple uncorrupt balanced government with elements of capitalism for investment and socialism to uplift people out of poverty will still propel us forward at break neck speed. The only issue is corruption in the state halting progress. Why did inequality deepen after 30 years? Firstly, our population boomed. We were 43 million in 1994. Now 62 million. Our economy just has not kept track with the amount of people entering the workforce. Secondly, the state rapidly created wealth for a select few instead of taking the considerable amount of tax they do receive to broadly empower the people. That is what just further drives inequality.

In my honest opinion, DA will be a good candidate because just look at towns that are run by DA, the roads are clean, there are few potholes, there is more jobs, there is no surrage running down the streets. If south Africans truly want change you need to think about how the other parties have run previously and what there main objectives are now.

Some of us were living in suburbs in the early 90s before th 1995 election. We were there when DP and NP merged to create the DA. Trust me, this is double speak. All you will see is low pay for blacks. All top jobs go to whites. Making us an underclass just like apartheid with less violence. How does one believe a party who has had posters saying, "Nail them and jail them" With the words nail and jail in blue and the words them in black. So, in other words, the ones that must be nailed and jailed are blacks, and the ones doing the nailing and jailing are whites? Does that sound like a party that judges you by the content of your character, or is it a party that judges based on your skin colour? Also, Lindiwe Mazibuko, Mmusi, and Herman all pointed to being undermined and it being racial. Think my sister.🙏🏿

Everything must be about south africa and its people. Getting involved in very difficult isdues with hamas palestine Ukraine Russia while south africa is disintigrating. Sa politicians have absolutely zero influence on the outcome of these wars. They are wasting valuable time on external issues while we are struggling to survive

So the DA is waiting for an ANC invitation? Why not be more proactive before the ANC picks both the EFF and Zumazombies for a majority? John, you should be sleeping on Cyril's living room couch by now

Stupid to ask about ICJ, Palestine, Putin, right now... We need to talk about the welfare of ALL SOUTH AFRICANS, RIGHT NOW.... Who cares about issues one million miles away, that have nothing to do with our critical domestic challenges....

@nashsingh1349 the only problem is the ANC spent R1,955,498 of tax payers' money to bring this case to the ICJ. Its not about the issues, it is about a government spending on issues purely for ANC party benefit.........not for SA or its people or its problems.

@@toyerdavids1993Why would he care what happens in India? We care about SA right now and Africa after that. Everything else comes 2nd. If youre insinuating that because he's indian hes going to be concerned about whats going on in India. Please wake up. Its 2024. We are South Africans first

Indians are seen less and less as South African. It's troubling when after 150 years, a small group of people who invested their lives in this beautiful Mother Land, are seen as foreigners, because they stand up and are spoken. I feel for these people. They are neither India nor South Africans. We should never austracize such people, they count

@@phiwemanzi9583 People in the ANC earn way more due to corruption and looting... That is why we have a broken country. BEE only serves those at the top while the rest feed on the crumbs. The DA is the way forward for all people because it is anti-corruption and all for good service delivery and growing a stronger economy while basic needs are met, which in turn will uplift people out of poverty. Oh and just so you know, Albert Einstein didn't finish school either.. Not having a matric does not determine ones true intelligence. Experience all supersedes that.
